hey... so sorry that I replied the msg so late... I didn't see it in time... when I finally saw it we have moved from the north coast to the south coast already...

Michael Doohan - First in motogp to win 5 consecutive season from 1994-1998 after a serious injury.

He made his debut in grand pix 1991. He was going to win his first championship in 1992 till he was seriously injured in a practice. "He suffered permanent serious damage to his right leg due to medical complications and, at one stage, risked amputation of the leg. At the time, Doohan was 65 points in the lead of the championship, but could not compete for eight weeks after the crash. After an arduous recovery, Doohan returned to racing for the final two races but could not prevent Yamaha rider Wayne Rainey from winning his third consecutive title."

"Throughout 1993 he struggled to regain fitness and the ability to race the Honda at elite level. However, in 1994 he won his first 500 cc World Championship. From then until 1998 he dominated the class, winning five consecutive 500 cc World Championships. In 1997, his most successful year, Doohan won 12 out of 15 races, finished second in another two, and crashed out of the final race of the season at his home GP while leading by more than six seconds."

Some years back when i had a bad accident and lying in hosp, one of my fren told me this:

"The worst is over. Now things can only get better". At that point of time, cant really appreciate the meaning.

I mean, lying in bed with a broken leg and back, and hearing all these is just feel good talk to me at that point.

 

But as I got better, it all start to make sense.

I mean,

1) Not dead.

2) Recovering, just a matter of time.

3) Bike. Can be repaired, else get another one.

4) Misc issues. So long as one is alive, issues can be solved.

 

It's not the end of the world, things will get better.

Wish a speedy recovery to him/ her. Cheer up bro.
