PETALING JAYA: A weak earthquake measuring 2.2 on the Richter scale occurred near Janda Baik, Bukit Tinggi at 9.41am on Friday morning.

 

According to the Meteorological Department, the epicentre of the earthquake was 9km southeast of Kg Janda Baik, Bukit Tinggi.

 

The last tremor felt in Bukit Tinggi was on Oct 8 at about 5.50am. It measured 2.8 on the Richter scale and occurred 25km away from this morning’s site.

 

“We are constantly monitoring earthquake activities via our latest earthquake monitoring system at our 17 seismic stations nationwide,”

MC, nautical miles (n.m) only I_Ride_A_bike use la.
