hello guys,

i am planning to change my exhaust. the standard exhaust sound like no shiok leh. hahaha.

so need some advice from u guys. slip on good enough or must do full system? can recommend me any good exhaust?

and how will it affect the fuel consumption ? abit2 ok la. if the fuel consumption very rabak, i think must reconsider. haha.

Posted

For legal slip on you'd probably hear the difference only when vtec engages. Revo is very soft compared to older specs.

Want shiok get full system + pc5 + racing air filter = many $ = shiokness

Posted

No need revo or spent lots of money jus to hear the shiokness sound of exhaust....

Jus remove your exhaust and ride.... I guarantee even Harley rider will bow down to ur bike's "AWESOME" Organism sound.... Definitively head turner...

Removed exhaust = HP +10 ; Head turner factors + 10 ; manly image +10 ; Balls size +1000

Slip-on good enough if you want sound + maybe 0.5hp to max 1hp gain. I've had the chance to hear the Leo Vince and a Yoshi R77 slip-ons back to back. IMHO, they sound quite close - bassy and not too loud. If I wanted to spend my dollars on a slip-on, I'll get the LV.

Another bike with a Yoshi full system at the same gathering didn't sound as good as the slip-ons. This might be because that bike wasn't tuned with a PCV. So, this may be the cause.

Of course, performance gain from a full system would be better than a slip-on. How much better? You'll have to ask the supplier to show you the proof.

Speaking of sound, my stock pipe is sounding quite nice and bassy now. I've noticed the change in tone after some FOC training... hehehe

It's certainly not as loud as the LV or Yoshi, which is fine with me for now.

LOL... you sure no need money? This can end up being more expensive than fitting a pipe, bro.

Be wary of the source of information for your bike's maintenance. Some FAQs are compiled by people who lack the technical know how.

Thanks bro ramsnake. i was also thinking of just changing the slip on. performance wise, i think i am happy with the performance of my bike. maybe because i just upgraded from 2B. lol. but in terms of fuel consumption, will there be alot of difference, or abit abit only?

I'm trying to find the service manual for the CB400 Hyper VTec Revo. I have a 2011 model. Unfortunately the link in the thread FAQ and Information about Honda CB400 Revo NC42 for the service manual doesn't work. Is there somewhere else I can get the service manual (CB400 Super Four Hyper VTEC Revo Service Manual ) from?

Thanks.

Aftermarket Exhaust systems are Definity alot lighter than the bulky and heavy stock exhaust.

Louder & bassier than stock exhaust tone, varies among diff aftermarket exhaust.

We have riders using LV slip-on, GPR slip-on, Yoshi R77 Slip-on, Yoshi Full system etc.

Some exotic exhausts are Moriwaki & SP tadao (Single or dual muffler available).

Individual preference of which exhuast is nice.

Full system exhuast is loud but needs a PC5 to tune it.

Yoshi R77 also not bad but pricey.

thinking of the r77. titanium blue seems cool, i guess titanium should be better than SS r77 right
