Any Revo rider experiences a sudden change in engine sound when reving reaches 4500rpm while running in. My Revo recently gave me this sudden change in engine sound as mentioned. and it sounded abit unpleasant for a to be called "silent" engine. I just done my first 1000km service, still this engine sound occurs. It is normal for Revo to produce such noise? I was told by the serviceman to complete my 3 running in service then attend to any matters after that.

Wah Lao, you've said too soon. Hope it won't cost you a bomb to repair in KL. That's why I'd say: Nowadays HONDA's quality...........? I ride a REVO myself and also don't quite like it but no choice.

Wahhh like damn jialat leh so many revo breaking down. Cannot go far without worrying whether the bike is gonna give way or not. Haiiii.

i just did a search online! not even one website stated that honda motorcycles are made in china or any weird country. most of them said made in japan. due to strigent safety issues for a motorcycle, quality assurance is a very particular issue to honda. what im not sure is whether the parts are made in china, then only assembled in japan. does this count as made in japan?

i found this website!

http://www.magneticdrainplug.com/Tech_Links/Rebel_VIN.html

use the VIN number of ur vehicle, can check where ur honda bike is made!

come on guys! check already and share the results! hahaha

btw bro viewpanel, ur bike is agent or parallel import?

Has it got something to do with parallel import bikes? Bro haikal bike also PI. :s

From what i learn from earlier pages od this thread. PI bikes dun go thru quality check (from boon siew) ( not sure about honda side )

So u fixed ur bike already? How much did the repairs cost? How much did the towing from kl to sg cost?

common problems: Bike's battery, rectifier, magnectic coil, tps all working perfectly!!!!

Damaged parts: fuel pump. I can't believe the whole fuel pump can shattered completely inside the fuel tank. At the point of breakdown i still got slightly more than half tank of petrol left....

Towing from KL to SG @ SGD550.

the tow person saw me first thing quickly pass me 100 plus and some bread. He say he scare me hungry. then he even willingly send me back to my block in seng kang. Highly recommended guy and service. some more he was in SG having dinner and from the time i called him till he arrive in KL is only 3hour 40min. He was dashing. He says he will tow from anywhere and he even tried towing from hatyai to sg before.

need contact for that friendly tow guy jus pm me. good to keep his number for future emergency use.

Brother, do you suspect petrol contamination? Otherwise, it's true that the fuel pump should not shatter by itself. Maybe you can dismantle the faulty fuel pump and analyze it to have an idea to the cause of its failure. BTW, how much does the new fuel pump costs?

Sounds to me that the lamination/insulation of the coil wires is of inferior quality, thus causing it to breakdown prematurely. Bloody HONDA should have issued a recall for this defect. I've ridden the other 2 Japanese makes (YAMAHA and SUZUKI) for more than 10 years before and never ever come across a magnetic coil failure incident. Actually, it's just an alternator to charge and provide electrical power to the bike and its battery.

Haha. Thanks for ur compliment! It came along with the bike when I purchased it. I think it costs ard 1k. No I nvr do tuning. Pc5 plus dyno run costs $750 liao. Haha. I will do it after getting bonus. Now no money
