And with abs better or without abs? anyone can give me some advice thanks alot

I prefer non-ABS cos 400cc no need for ABS and I don't ride fast and I ride defensively.

Its a tough choice for some thou.

Hi all,

new S4-Revo rider here... would like to know what RPM you guys change gear at... for economic daily commuting riding?

I know VTEC open at 6300 RPM.. but normal commuting I think no need.

Gear change before 6K. Definitely can get 22km/l.

For Revo, if open the throttle slowly the vtec wont open evenly the rpm over 6300.

Hi guys. Im currently facing problem of not being able to start my super4 spec2. 2 days ago i just changed my battery and few months back i already changed my starter carbon. When i turn on my bike. The light the meter all normal including my voltage which shows 12.8V+. I want to make sure what is the problem before heading down to the workshop to avoid being "ketok.. thanks in advanced

Hi Guys, I am facing the same problem with this gentlemen. But it only happen sometime. I can easily jumpstart the bike because the battery is still OK

Any idea what it's root cause?

Another problem is, my battery is running flat after 4 days not start the bike.

Because the battery is just recently changed, I just ask my mech about it, because it supposed to be last longer than that. He replied, maybe the due to IU because its always standby, so it will drain the battery faster. Not really sure whether it is true.

Any bros here get the same problem with me?

Mind to share your opinion.

Btw, planning to return trip to my workshop to find the cause, but need help from bros here so I dont kena chop there.

Thanks.

Be wise on the road...

Price difference of 1k.

To me for 400cc with or without ABS depends on individual braking technique.

Some might prefer ABS to prevent hard breaking leading to wheel lock.

Will not drain tat fast unless you have a cashcard tat you nv remove throughout.

Unless the new batt is kept for a long time and not charged when sold to you.

If not just ask a mech to check your charging system again to be sure everything is working fine.

Ok, I just made a trip to my mech and i just want to share what my mech said:

Inside the IU actually got 2 battery, which in good condition maybe only required 1 hour to charge them and make them full.

However, for 8 years old IU like on my motorbike, maybe the battery on IU is weaken already, so after it fully charge maybe it will drain so fast and again it will recharge itself from your main battery, because typically the IU installation from vicom will direct connect to your battery. So eventhough your bike is off, the iu still can selfrecharge himself to make sure it always live and can serve the gantry well :)

But just now my mech change the IU cable connection to my headlamp, so the IU will only be on once the bike ignition is on. Hopefully can solve the problem. And he advise, if I want to leave the bike more than 5 days, better to disconnect one of main cable into battery.

Well the previous case on my motorbike, after changing new battery, i only run it 2x30 minutes on road, and I left it at carpark for the next 4 days. Maybe the battery has not fully charged yet, so after 4 days it totally flat.

This morning before go to workshop i check my battery voltage using multimeter (yesterday i am able to jumpstart my bike and make it running for 2x30minutes). The voltage before i start my bike is 12.1 and the voltage when charging is 14.15 it seems like everything normal.

Well thats all the story which i can share to SBF forummer.

Any installation of electrical accesorries like led light, gear indicator, voltmeter or stop light? Maybe wire short circuit.

Otherwise might be the rectifier problem.

If you have a multimeter, measure the current (ONLY when ignition is off). Remove the red positive wire and use the meter between the battery positive and the bikes red positive wire. In stand-by the current should only be a few milliamps.
