For me i using for off road only:

 

Eo n plug - after 2 rides - bout $20

 

End can Packing - mayb after 5 rides? - bout $25??

 

brake pads - less then 20 rides.. - F n R bout 50-100??

 

and yes dont save on 2T... use highly recommended "Motul 710 or 800, castrol 747, maxima 927 "if i m not wrong" " ......

 

dont ask me bout petrol n top speed...

 

the rest are wear n tear replace.. depending on wad wear out then change wad lor..

 

riding ktm got to be particular.. one small small thing can become a big big problem...

Slow nevermind.... Pattern must be nice.... Bike must be BLING...

well if u are working, the setback is not exactly a setback. engine bearings and piston recon maybe once every 3 years

hi all.. i need some help.. not sure if im posting in the right place annot.

 

anyways, my fren just bought his ktm..he says its an egs 200.. as i noe ntg abt scrams, i have no idea wad he's talking abt :X

 

anyway, it's his 1st bike and he's been havin some probs with it.. tried helping him but i realised it's quite diff from how our sp runs! :slapforehead:

 

anyway, e prob is his bike keeps dying off.. even after riding fer some distance, when he stops at red light, the bike just dies off. and it's rly hard to start.. he went back to the shop, they said scram is lykdat.. muz rev to keep it alive at red lights.. den my fren gotta change spark plug wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more often den i do.. he even carries a spark plug ard with him.. even aft changing so often it's stil hard to start, only the 1st time after changing new plug it can start with one kick. subsequently its jus so hard to get gg..

 

are scrams rly so hard to maintain? or is there smtg wrong with his bike? it drinks 2T lyk water too :S :help:

he needs to do his jetting, set his valve and tune his air fuel mixture.. i don't have issues with my idling or plug fouling. =)

thanks ALL fer ur help! :cheeky: so roughly how much will tht cost? yup i did tell him it mite be his jetting.. but he went back to the shop n the boss told him scrambler is lykdat.. he say spark plug wet.. but seems to be havin probs too often.. every few days change plug is crazy imho..

 

 

i feel rather guilty cuz when he said he was lookin fer ktm, i told him to go dirt wheels, cuz i went once to hav a look and was pretty impressed.. but now tht he's rly bot one from them he's having so much regret..

need help from u guys, i m newbie for KTM.

can i know what motard rim can i install for my ktm 200? and also, what is the size for the tire? like 120 front, 160 rear or something.

and also, whre can i get the 2nd hand motard rim in local?? pocking rim or tubeless rim oso can. thanks

hi guys, im thinking of doubling my ktm2 as both transport and dirt. everyday i will ride about 20km in average.

 

Will be changing eo every 10 hours of engine running time, sparkplug every 40 hours, piston ring every 6 months. Will be on pwm carb. any other advise guys? I heard that ktm can add 2t pump, is that advisable?

 

is there any other things that is needed to change yearly?

Does too much 2T cause the bike to stall? my KTM stalled when i stop at the traffic light junction and before that there is already sysptom showing lots of white smoke and hard to rev the bike.:sian:

This only happen after i top up my petrol. i top up 6L of petrol with around 150ml of 2T.:(

 

Can anyone help me on this???

wa bro . . . 6l 150ml of 2t is quite alot leh which is 25ml/l . . . you whack the bike alot is it? for me i only use 15ml/l, which is 90ml for 6l only.

 

stalling i think your idling adjust abit too low, for mine my neutral idling is high, but when i kick down to gear 1 its like normal idling. mine had to set in this way, if not traffic light must keep throttling

 

ktm2 pwm carb is 350++, pwk 500++

May i know which bike shop you recommend?

The bike shop i went near serangoon stadium quoted me $700.

Do you might telling me the diff btw pwm and pwk?

 

I changed my seat, roller and ball bearing for my chain and a rubber pad which is near the chain. cost $200.....:sian:
