haiz... the 3k ktm2 sold liao... strange now feel like not so hurry to buy bike anymore. seems like its more practical if i buy a wr instead. since most of the time it'll be used on the road. need something which is cheaper to maintain, good fc, and handlebar doesnt vibrate as much on the road. wr2 may be weaker than ktm2 but still more than enuf power to conquer trails right?

 

any suggestions to what i should get? wr, dr, xl, xr, ktm, kdx, etc? actually would prefer something which is 4stroke, but is 4stroke too weak?

get a 4 stroke. a 200cc 4 stroke is more than enough power to conquer any trail and has good fuel economy and slightly better comfort for transport. 2 strokes are damn torquey and uncomfortable to ride (ktm, wr, kdx) the xr200, dr200 xl200 are good choices. i think XR125 also good choice. these bikes, parts are also cheaper and is more economical.

 

I hate riding the ktm 200 anywhere other than the nearby kopitiam to get some food. Last time i rode to jb for trail. my balls already pain before the actual trail started lol. if i had it my way(and lots of money!), ill get a truck or van to transport my ktm.

i heard the dr200 is abit short and bottoms out easily? as for xr and xl, what's the difference?

 

these 3 models like not many on sale hor?

well if unless u are planning on MX, u shdnt be worrying about bottoming out the suspensions. And a good mx bike will not make a good trail bike. Nor will a good trail bike make a good transport bike. be patient and you will find what you are looking for.

****ing hell stupid rain make me fall down~ i forgot that the CTE exit to PIE (amk direction) have metal strips and i low sided while trying to slide.. ^^~ abrasions on my knee and my elbow, expensive jeans gone case~ but my bike still okie! >.

wow you are lucky u are ok. Wah, have to replace the plastics again to make it bling bling. thats what u get when u ride a motard for transport. Everytime training ur drifting and cornering skills eh? Shd switch back to knobbies. U will ride like a bicycle cos u know ur tyres CMI. brake too hard will buang, corner too much will buang. hehe

i never sell any of the bikes. i owned the 200 for almost 6-7years and i'm doing a 2nd makeover. i might have intention to sell my 4stroke to get a newer model. both different thrills. can tell u don't fancy 2 strokes, but it's more challenging to ride offroad. =)

actually its not that i dun fancy 2 strokes. cos i never tried a 4 stroke scram before. the only problem is i keep falling off my 2 stroke whenever i throttle offroad haha. may take forever to master it and my ktm is STOCK boy!

heyy bro's wanna noe more bout ktm bikes lahh newpie here..hws the fc like and i heard the maintenance is damn expensive..every month wat type of service is there to be done...

everymonth basic is around 18 bucks for plug and gearoil. Use good 2t. Motul 800 about $20 a litre. best fc in stock form is 14km/l.

if u lucky, nothing spoil no need to spend more. if unlucky, one small tiny part can easily set u back 300 bucks.

wear and tear is extremely fast. Using for transport, good luck if u are on budget, cos every year or so have to replace wear and tear parts. maybe 1000 bucks a year? u can ask stingrhea and musik if u wanna use for transport.
