It prevent the wheels from skidding which allows u to bring out the maximum brake power of the vehicle? I meant u won't pull ur lever all the way even u encounter close incidents to prevent locking, you won't bring out the max ability to stop the bike...

 

its also another kind of intermitten breaking which means ur brake efficiancy will be affected as well an't it
