I went back from PIE the day I got my bike.

Travelling is quite easy, it's the short distance which is the problems. Low speed the bike hard to handle!

You'll get used to it.

On an expressway the day you bought your bike? Now that's quick. Took me 2 weeks of riding around minor/major roads before even riding into the expressway.

wow vashie daring. it took me almost a week before i went into the expressway when i first got my bike.

If I don't go PIE I can't go home! So no choice but to go expressway. :o

Anyway...nothing much also, Just keep to the slowest lane, leave a safe distance behind big cagers and occasionally lane change to right to avoid the expressway exits. Never do any stunts! :cheeky:

Considering on installing crash bars after the fall today...is it legal?

It was an almost stationary drop...The outer look of the bike seems okay without any scratches, but not so sure of the internal as the sound of the bike seems unfamiliar.

While bike is sleeping on it's sides, it leaked some petrol and EO.

Got a bit of scrapes at my right ankle. No bleeding though. Anyway...thanks for all the concerns! :)

Lol, ur lesson 1 cleared. :) expressway riding! Actually adding anything onto a stock motor is illegal, for example adding a box on the bike is illegal too. So how do you wanna define legal hehe.

What I meant is...is it illegal enough to not be able to pass inspection?

I don't want wield crash bar to bike only to have to remove it before inspection. :(

My rear box burst open when i fell...is it normal?

Other than caring about the bike, I need to care about picking up my items too.

I thought the box would be a safe place to store my laptop...now not so sure already.

If it's a normal box and not the Hepco & Becker kind of quality, then it's normal for it to burst open when get a direct hit on it.

Why not? When it comes to inspection, let the bike shops do it for you. You just need to pay a little extra without going through all that hassle.

Yea like wat Fritz said. So you mean legal for vicom inspection, of coz box and crash bar are alright but do tighten and make sure it's not lose which will cause danger to other road users. Before ur inspection rem to clear ur carbon ^^

When you've impact on the box, chances of break opening the box will be high. It's normal no worry =)

i aso lost my way a few times when i first got my bike. one of the time i was lost in woodlands and my bike is running out of petrol..end up have to ask those teenagers in bicycles to direct me to petrol station..

personally i feel a traffic jam will speed up the learning curve by alot, but it is also more mentally challenging and tiring.

that is one of the reasons why i dun like to go business block. engineering side got alot of parking lots. but also got alot of bikes so kind of limited too.

I study at business block so no choice...park at the slope leading to business block today. They blocked the bike slots with a container! I see CBR, SP, Kawa, Valkyrie...then my Phantom. Like out of place...haha! :p

Think tomorrow park behind FC4 then walk to my class.

Reached home safely~ :D

Phantom got 6 gears quite troublesome...will forget which gear I'm on.

I already traveled around 300km...Open fuel tank still can see the fuel without shaking the bike...don't know when will the fuel be hitting reserve. No fuel meter troublesome.
