Just now from Dover travel to admiralty. A scary experience!

Went from PIE to BKE, exit at woodland avenue 3, turn wrong side! Went towards turf club kranji there...so no choice but to do my first ever phantom uturn~!

Keep extremely left to prepare for uturn, then cars start to overtake me...but managed to do a very wide uturn.

Somewhere at woodlands went in the filter lane at quite fast speed cause got a car tailgate me, almost buang during turn!

Then when reaching destination...realised I overshot the carpark entrance, so I did my second uturn! Almost hit kerb.

Finally when I thought everything is over, my bike stalled at second gear while moving over a hump at the entrance of the car park! Bike stationally came to a rest at it's side in slow mode as I was struggling to pull it back...a kind rider came to my aid and help me lift it up. :D

Wow grats finally did your u turn ^^ I now still very lousy at u turning -.- . Guess when free, will go some ulu industrial park or something and practice.

Well, since this is a BBDC forum, might as well share this to new riders.

Judging from what I posted so far in the forum , guess you can say that I'm rather an impulsive rider. And today, I've got myself in an accident ..

but hey, no worries, I'm typing here, means I'm still one piece.

This incident happened today evening when I was going out to buy dinner.

I was going through a zebra crossing filter lane (a left turn) when the accident happen.

There was a private bus infront, and I was pretty much at the same speed as the bus. Since I'm at a pretty low speed (like around 20-30) , I did not take much precaution against the private bus.

Being overconfident, I spend time checking right (the main road) and with the traffic condition, I ASSUMED that the bus infront would most probably had filter out of the zebra crossing .

HOWEVER, when I turned back my head front, I saw the bus at a complete stop, waiting for the opportunity to go out. Most probably due to its size, it needs more clearance to go out, so our judgement is DIFFERENT.

I end up bumping into the back of the bus (a light one) and inherted an average scratch and painwork damage to my front wheel fender. Luckily I wasnt really hurt and the bike is still working.

I was riding in my estate, and for a short distance and I let my guard up. And this is what happen. I'm writing it here so that everyone can take this as a reference and really do keep alert while riding. I am very lucky that it occured at low speed and no much damaged is done (to both user and bike) ,

and also a reminder to myself .

And of course, you end up spending more $ (on repairs, in my instance, I might want to change the fender or at minimum repaint it)

Adventure.

i share with u what my dad taught me, its quite useful to me.

usually in those situation, if u are not the first vehicle in line, do not bother to check.

until all the vehicles in front of you move off, and you are the first vehicle, then you check for traffic, if clear, you go, if not, you stay.

because if you are not the first vehicle and you check the traffic, and if the traffic is clear, you will not slow down and will probably accelerate, so you will kiss the back of the vehicle in front of you. as the vehicle in front of you might suddenly stop.

its useful to me. hope it helps u too :thumb:

I met with a bus without stop lights this morning while going to school today.

As the jam at clementi area quite bad, the cars will move and stop randomly.

I was trapped behind the bus...so no choice but to keep a safe distance behind the bus and travel slowly while anticipating it to stop at any time. :o

Just now on my way back go SPC pump petrol...95 4liter $7+...quite affordable.

I damn worried I will over pump...keep press trigger let go, press and let go...so took quite long to pump the 4 litre. :cheeky:

On my way back see wrong then change to most right lane, end up realised I need to exit on the left...did a lane change, almost got into an accident with a bike behind me.

Heard the horn so go back to my lane...and missed the exit...so took the next one.

My house here the riders parking in the carpark all like good boy...all so early reached home...The whole car park out of motorcycle parking lots before 12am! So no choice but to go another carpark try my luck. Found one slot beside a lorry...hope nothing bad happens to my bike.

Lucky my season parking covers 2 carpark around my house...so don't need put coupon. :D

I always try to be a careful rider...but always do something stupid due to being inexperienced. :(

So...Shunpo...Are you going to bike shop anytime soon?

Anyway...the bus never claim anything from you? :?

LINNN: You still have lots of time...just keep trying~ :thumb:

I don't know...never gotten before. :p

But I think MSCP is nonsense...first 2 levels (1A,1B, 2A,2B) they designated a few slots for motorcycle at awkward positions of the mscp...Move up some more, every half level only got ONE motorcycle slot! ONE! And so many empty car slots don't know for what. :sian:

this has happened to be twice during my p plate days also. one is i hit a SBS bus from behind cuz i misjudged the stopping distance in the traffic light. the bus so big never feel my tire hit its bumper also.

2nd one was also like the same case but this time a lorry. luckily the lorry driver say to me nevermind just go. this lorry company one so he also don't care and also it was kind of badly damaged already.

hmm but usually the 1st or 2nd level they have one whole stretch of motorcycle lots right? the MSCP near my area is like that. but as you go further up there would be little lots like what you said.

Mine don't have...they like designate some random awkward space for motorcycle lots.

Here a few lots, there a few lots. I think the most lots is at the first floor 1A...around...15 lots I think. Others is like 3 lots, 7 lots...quite little.

I go up higher floors see one motorcycle parking I so happy...turn towards it the realise the lot beside is for cars...no choice but to do a awkward 3 point turn with the slope behind me.:sian:

If got go RTP, all questions should be easy.

Sky99 you must own self go to the counter at level 1 and tell them to update your account and print out the result slip as proof. cuz only TP has the record that you pass but bbdc doesn't have unless you inform them. the optional part is when doing your PDL cuz they would have the result that you passed in the TP system.

I didn't print the slip when I pass RTT...When getting PDL they will know you pass a not.

The important part is not to lose the 5.02 assessment paper.

no lah. TP record that you pass already. just that you have to inform BBDC to update your account so that they can update that you pass the test and enable you to book TP.

you can ask them to update anytime also can. just make sure that you tell them before applying for your pdl. to apply for pdl you must go to TP counter at level 2 and take number to apply for pdl. and also must fill up a pdl application form which can be found over there.
