This time no repair...

But how can my Wave lose to a old CG125 on the straight? Don't tell me the old school in singtel-fading-orange-coloured with front brake drum got turbo in it? :sian:

As for rear disk brake, u can get original honda rear disc brake set but its over $500.

Rear disc brake set only found on Philippines lastest Honda Supra X (Honda wave S) or Honda Wave R special edition.

Items required : Swing arm, brake caliper, rim/hub(for spoke), brake disc, pads, brake caliper brackets, brake piston, brake lever, brake line. Screws and bolt have to be bought separately from hardware store(OMFG)

more info :

P.S use google to translate.

I will put this $500+ on good tyres, good brake pads, good brakeline, good petrol, good oil and good plug and still got change. :cheeky:

Yup

170 - Battlax

45 - EBC pad

6 - V-power

70 - HEL brakeline

20ish - Irdirum

28 - Motul 300V

339 - Total

161 left - enough for petrol for 2 oil changes LOL

Conclusion - 500 is about wave's half year maintenance and petrol money. (basic on heavy amount of riding.)

hmm thanks for the good advice frens... but hua chin at bukit batok quote me only $180+ for rear disc brake conversion... haiz im still considering abt change a new drum brake or change to disc brake for rear... cuz i have always been using disc brake which gives good braking control compared to drums...

as for the front i am going to change to a oversize disc and use the stock nisin caliper with good brake pads...

brake line HEL for the front is a must

plug i always use denso iridium petrol only esso 8000 or v power..

as for rear sets... i really dono how to decide... i scared too high bend the legs too much will be very uncomfy... any comments?

cuz i see the stock one like very low... when corner i scared will sumtimes corner too low then hit the foot peg then flung off the bike lolz... any comments too?

is there a need to big bore the engine? or change to racing pistons or racing clutch plates/springs? will improve alot? and racing cdi?

unique got quite good offer for these... wad u guys think? anyone have done it?

wad's the diff?

Tell you what, you go to shop, tell them to open the rear drum, clean the insides then change the brake shoe. Seeing you want to change to HEL, ask them to bleed out the brake oil as well. See weather u like the drum brake performance or not. If not, go change then. Personally, drums are fine with me.. somemore brake shoes are so cheap in jb.. 12RM onli haha

as for the front i am going to change to a oversize disc and use the stock nisin caliper with good brake pads...

Oversized disc brake is mainly for cosmetic onli and doesn't add much improvement over the stock discbrake. Some of those discbrake even rust over time.. this is guaranteed for those discbrakes from msia/thailland. Dunno if u use ones from big bikes (if can fit in the first place lah..)

brake line HEL for the front is a must

Couldn't agree more. $80 from unique right? Damn good investment.

I am using standard honda ngk plug, $9 castrol semi-sync EO and SG 92RON or Msia 97... I believe those are enough for my bike la. Anyway, this bike was designed with budget in mind; no need to pamper with the expensive stuff, waste money onli. But to each their own la...

Won't flunk lah, just a nice line of sparkzzzz on the road. If you want the best of both worlds, get a mech to knock the stock footrest upwards. Kinda' like a \ for the left footrest and a / for the right one. Not so comfortable, but can corner la. Altho wave not advisable to corner; imagine u scrap dat leovince? :faint:

Personally, my engine quite old already. Tot of doing big bore and then get unique to change the remaining wear off parts like seals or whatever. So basically I get a new and more powerful engine. Budget is $800. Got the cash, but dunno if its a good idea or shd save the $ and juz overhaul instead..

(and yeah, i noe i am quoting everything u say.. easier and less messy this way lah :cheeky:)

yep2... very economical ride. I calculated my maintenance cost vs public transport cost, wave is slightly cheaper by 150+. Like I mentioned before, even if I am flat broke, I will still have a wave waiting at my carpark! (ok, more like in some dark corner of a void deck to save cost... whatever!)

scraping footrest = nice show for ppl behind lol...

like blahhh say oversize WILL RUST!!!

HEL i did @ bikeworkz for 70 include bleeding.

@blahhh : stock footrest cant scrap LV... Tested :X

Wave is cheaper than public transport + time saved + convenience to travel ANY TIME...

My current box setup is givi e33 plus standard rack that sits close to the tail. I want the rack that is higher and positions the box kinda' slanted forward. Makes the bike look more sporty. Anybody know what that rack is called, price and where to get?

sorrie4u, I have msn, but 99% I am not on, so no point la :sian:

anyone knows how much does a 52L box cost? im using a JANTAN 42L box and it is too squeezy for 2 open face helmets... i squeeze them in then got scratches on the helmet...damn!

i see the rack is mono rack 2... is it okay if i just buy a 52L the box only? or does it comes with rack too?

52L compared to 42L will it affect cutting the traffic during busy road days? too wide?

is that YSS shocks? need to cut fairings?

trim the fairing a little as it will rubbed when aggressive compressed.
