hey guys... i today asked hua chin for rear boxes... i wanna see if the prices are good... and also ... does a 52L rear box obstructs our ride when we cut traffic in between cars? is it really so wide till cause trouble to cut cars?

 

and will the rear be too heavy?

 

oh i wanna ask also.. that which rear box has a backrest? and price?

 

anyway hua chin got these:

 

ZEUS 48L rear box with rear light - $95

Kappa 52L rear box - $220

Givi 52L rear box - $300

 

i tried the 48L box but still too small for 2 helmets and other stuffs... so i wan a 52L box... hopefully with backrest and backlight...

 

and i going to enlarge my fuel tank to 10L soon... anyone wanna join me? so maybe we can get discounts hehe... heard it is $200 haben call to ask.. will do so soon...

 

Im using this box currently. Can fit in 2 helmets & put raincoats as well! :thumb:

That is true, nothing can replace having more ponies. But I feel that the biggest disadvantage of owning a wave is its lack of power; I dun need it to reach 130 or 140kmh, juz want more torque and faster reach 100. Why? Becoz sometimes on the road, u just need the extra power to avoid certain dangers.

 

Ppl told me why not get 125z or spark instead; I tell em becoz no other cubs has a u-box as big as wave, a transmission as comfy as wave and money savings as good as on a wave... so I want to keep those advantages while removing the only disadvantage as well.. :angel:

 

No choice lah... Opportunity cost. But i feel quite safe riding Wave as it cannot speed, not "fly" so as to say. :cheeky:

sumtimes want cut car also must think twice whether can make it or not-

 

fix hand clutch- maybe can resolve that prob

The idea is cannot make it, so u will be safe. So many times, i wanna turn right, the car is speeding on the opp side but still quite far away. But i calculate, my Wave sure cannot turn in time. :lol:

haha. :thumb: bro. nowadays so many cubs esp spark modified siao2 then want to challenge bigger cc bikes. they just dont know how dangerous it is to go very fast on a small bike.

No problem cutting thru the cars, so long u give due care. Don't go for backrest bcoz if your pillion lean on the box all the time, the bolts securing the brackets will break. :cool:

lol sound? my LV exhuast no sound one lo... dun dare take out the silencer... scared kena fine... sigh... damn sianz no power increase at all oso... shouldnt have changed it.. -.-!

Wave = Rims, paintwork and small bling bling is enough... the rest is waste $$$

 

Every wave owner said so but none listen lol...(including myself)

Be sure to bring a friend w/ bike there. Got to leave the bike there for a few days. Lot of dogs in that place. Dun want to get bitten right? :cheeky:

 

Can ask for me a few questions? First, ask him where he will place the battery. From my understanding the last time I saw him, its still under the seat but just wanna know specifically where. Then ask him possible to extend to 6 or 8L instead of 10L? Coz i still want a little bit of space down there. Lastly, ask if there is any other cubs that can do this mod.. thx!

10L I can use up in 3-4 days lah. Coz I travel alot mah. I dun pump my wave at SG; go jb with my s4 then transfer whatever I need from it. Really leceh to transfer 4L every 2 days with a pump, somemore got ppl approached me asking if I was stealing petrol :dot:

lol i overhaul at hua chin for 380... u got chopped 100bucks lolz..

maybe u can try call hua chin motors at bukit batok midview building... they can finnish in one day for just doing overhaul.. :)

 

well now that u say need to put the bike there.. then i reconsider liao... i cant afford to leave my bike there lei... hmm nvm i will call them soon when i find time... then ask those questions for u... and i wanna ask if i can keep the stock tank and fabricate a brand new 8 or 10L tank... anyway 10L for me is just about 5-6days... stale oso nvm la... shake shake abit can use le haha no 2T oso!

 

btw im just curious... what if we add a few ml or drops of fully syn 2T into our fuel tank for wave? will it protect the engine more? i cant figure this out lei... or will it cause harm to the engine?

 

i know its a weird question... but i just wanna know haha!

Actually for overhaul, what are the things that are being replaced? Piston, piston rings, and ??? what else?

 

IMO, a few drops of 2T won't hurt but it may creates smoke and it's not gonna give too much of a protection to the 4stroke engine.

Stale here meaning the combustion of the petrol is not as good as when "new". "New" petrol meaning fresh from the petrol station. It will still combust but just not as good. Don't u feel your bike revs better when you just pump and ride outta station?
