hi all,

currently my wave's headlight is not working.

checked bulb, havent blow yet.

checked the high/low beam switch, headlight still nvr on.

went to a mechanic and apparently he said the magnetic coil was faulty.

is this a possible root cause? i figured it had to do with the wiring maybe.

If you doubt the mechanic, the better way is to go to a second mechanic for his inspection and opinion instead.

yo guys, any shop can recommend? need to change steering cone bearing.

Bro rookie517,

Cone bearing is not a major operation/job on the bike. Pretty much any bike shop also can do. besides, it shouldn't be expensive.

I usually go to BikeWorkz (its at Kaki Bukit Road 2)

just my $0.02

Fellow wave riders! I'm thinking of selling my Gilera runner and get a 2nd hand wave for transport. BUT my friend told me about his and his friends encounters with their previous wave(eg, overhaul THRICE a year!, EO leak when never ride for 1 week!)

Because from what i know, wave is a durable bike and for transport wise, NO PROBLEM.

So what you guys say?

Amazing. Mine 12 years old and every weekend into Malaysia for joyride, not even overhaul once. Maintain well can last you a long time.

Hey fellow wave riders, anyone knows where i can change my meter for my wave s? Tried gg jb, but they say they dont have any since its a digital meter. So came back to sg, tried gg to LAB and they also have to order first.. They charge $130. Anyone knows of any other shops that I can go to get it at a cheaper price? Like the agent or smth?

dude, fjt is local distributor for honda parts. they tend to have most parts for wave on hand. Its good to give them a call. Just parts, no installation, etc.

Do you know it is only 10mins for bike inspection? Ride to Vicom on your own at Bukit Batok dude... just spend about $19... why let bike shop earn that money?

Make sure tires have thread, signals, horn, headlight and brakes working then ok liao...

Castrol 20W40 is mineral oil right?

Good enough for wave? enough to last 1.5k - 2k km?

To ride on the road, You need skills,Stamina, or even luck.

But to be a good rider, you have to change with your environment, and adjust yourself to its rhythm.

Cultivate the confidence to face the different situations. Don't let yourself to be subdued by the environment :thumb:

good enough, wave is hard to destruct. Usually don't need to skimp that badly on wave EO. Just go semi syn or full syn. Around 10sgd or 20 for the latter. Can last long.
