hi,need some help,currently running in my wave x,but the fc is bad,full tank can only last me 90km,is it mw weight?btw i am 78kg.

 

i dun think its ur weight, either ur setting is way off, carb dirty, or air filter dirty... y not u go jb do full servicing? then they can do the setting and hopefully after that ur fc will get better?

hey guys, where do you service your wave for minor repairs like fixing backfire problems?

 

i am encountering that, but only when i am pillion-ing.

 

i have frequent planet motor but it's too popular and i can't leave it there for a day or two (schooling).

 

would appreciate fellow owners here to share their favourite repair shops!

backfire is normal.. not so major problem.. but if u still want to eliminate it.. the problem comes from the carb.. lil bit rich settings.. ask the mech do some tweaking.. sometimes not just from the carb.. if your pipe got holes backfire can happen too..

My wave 100% backfire with pillioning too... It's normal. if u dont wanna backfire, simply close throttle or brake SUPER GENTLY...

 

zart. i thought all wave stock exhaust got hole?

I have a hole of 5mm where the mid pipe meets the end can. it look predrilled/manufactured that way

btw my wave is first hand.

i just got my wave and it backfires everytime i slow down... i went to jb ah boy to do some stuff and @ the same time told them this problem... now my wave doesnt backfire at all... totally!

 

i believe backfiring isnt good for the engine.... however for big cc bikes... sure will backfire... their engines are made to scream anyway... but not our waves....

Spark have oil filter.

Wave dont have...

 

whenever u have an oil change, at least check brake fluid level.

Wave = if nothing is broken, dont try to change anything.

wave very easy to maintain.. just do the normal routine check lor like driving sch teach us..eg. tyre pressure, regular change eo and plug, chain tension, brake fluid and pads and so on..

Wah.. MIA ah.. got car no ride bike liao ah.. ask me directly ma. i ride wave one.. haha.. rear brakes all the same for all any version of wave.. all uses drum brakes. except for wave r special edition whereby it comes with rear disc brake and it only have kick start only instead of both kick starter and electric start. if i'm not wrong wave x also have special edition with rear disc brake and also kick starter only.. but i only saw once since wave x came out in looi's motor.

Wave X have rear disc brake version but no electric start.
