lol, anyway my friend got it from chong aik last week, do not ask for the daytona one as they will tell you outta stock.. so he got some brandless (can't remember if it's taiwan-made) drag bar for 28 bucks or somewhere around that range.. while stocks last, better hurry haha

jus to update, went to ah chong on tues nite for carb washing and tuning. but now instead got some rattling sound from the bike when travelling at higher rpm. think have to sit down beside it and inspect thoroughly...

Hi bros, need good advice..

Does the coolant flow through the cylinder joint collar (joint connecting the V-twin engines), and can a leakage occur there?

 

 

According to a mech I frequent, coolant is leaking from that area. And bike requires an engine overhaul, costing $700-800.

Is this reasonable?

 

I'll be getting a 2nd mech opinion, but just wanted to check if anyone had a similar experience. Thankew..

I really dunno. but you can go to Gerry looi and look for Amir and ask him for advise. Dun worry he won't charge you if it's just visual inspection..

You can use the service manual from the VLX600, it is fairly close. The only difference is that the VLX600 has a larger displacement and 4-speed gearbox. Otherwise, it is mechanically the same.
