We will have to talk abt a super weight reduction regime n a perfectly matched tranmission setting for a start for us to get going on any sprints.

Our bikes r to road going to complete

My next thing is to project a typhoon coz of its light weight n small wheel diameter or to just stick to my beloved 180cc SP. Maybe if i use it on road is for locally use in Singapore only... not for touring definitely.

Transmission setting is a must.. got to find a perfect mix match rollers depends on how's the distance gonna be. Weight reduction on a transmission also is a must but must make sure there is no weak points wen reduction of some metal n some alloys..

A perfect big bore carb setting is a must to do.. Im still researching for the best carb. So far ive tried 24mm Mikuni, 25mm Del'orto & 28mm Keihin..

So far i find Mikuni is still the best for me especially wen u already found the best setting..

Just wanna ask opinion.. if i go further like 36mm.. what do u think? A modification of manifold is a must of coz' Whats your view from my suggestion?

Thats a very good news to all Sprint freakz out there.. But its too far for us Singaporeans to go there UNLESS we got a pick up van to lift our machines.

Was hoping, we in our very own island will be having some auto scoots carnival cum Sprint test anytime soon..

I think by now, bike shops should have at least 1 Dynojets especially for maxi scoot.. Don't ya think so? An auto scoot event like the one in europe is an example.. They can even test their scoots outdoor to find out how fast ur bike can reach. But im sure Dynojets is not as cheap as it is. haha.. *Dreaming away* :D

A question to ask..

Which turns the fastest??

Smaller diameter wheel or Larger diameter ones?

had fren who already did a typhoon...due to an air cool engine, it will be actually more reliable for daily use..other than dat everything can be the same as a runner. For liquid cool engines we can "advance" abit more but of coz usually we wont reach dat stage locally lah.

Main point on tranmission is not rollers..something else which many of us even me hav not touch on.

finding a manifold to suit bigger carbs r easy..at most spend some $$ to customise n waste abit of space in the helmet compartment...the difficult part r choosing the correct valves to use. Stock 180 case n watever available valves out there for direct use which I had read somewhere dat it is not suggested to go beyond a bore size of 32mm anything bigger might be an overkill. Anything bigger to make it more efficient, mean a major rework of the engine case had to be done.

The tip is despite a 180cc motor, the reed cage is the same size as a 50cc...24mm on a 180 is actually too small..net frens across the other side of the world actually laughs at it  ... but personally I wont go beyond 28mm at the moment unless Im really to do something major to my scoot which I hav not figure out how to hehehe

they dun turn faster...turning faster depends on ur engine.

a bigger wheel covers more distance within a turn over a small wheel.

sad to say aft much reading, talking n understanding wat others r doing on the other side of the world I hav found dat wat I hav been doing r so dated n rather begineer to them n our knowledge r still so far behind from them.

nvtheless I believe if we constantly had the chances to pit our bikes in events like sprints or races, it is a chance for us to improve further n get faster everytime we do it.

Thus I will say dat without participation such events, now I dun even know my little machine is still working in proper order anot :faint:

A drag vid on the fastest auto currently in the world

https://www.pmtuning.co.uk/Press_Images/joespass.wmv

1/4 mile drag at 11.95s hitting speeds of 104.23mph

which is completing ard 402m in 11.95s clocking speeds of 167.74km/h of actual speed not those on our crappy scooter speedo from standstill aka 0km/h

its not abt turning fastest. its abt the number of rotation of the wheeL n covering distance.

smaLLer diameter wheeL wiLL need to rotate more compared to a Larger diameter wheeL goin aLong the same distance.

imagine u being Large diameter wheeL n ur LiL nephew/niece/son/daughter watever being smaLL diameter wheeL. the kid'LL need to take more steps to cover the same distance when waLking aLong with u.

i'm guessing u're thinking of a scenario where 2 simiLar bikes of simiLar power having different wheeLs.. 1 Large diameter.. the other smaLLer.. n u're wondering if both start together which one wiLL inch out more at the end right?

but that scoot is so skeletal. hardly anything on it except the components that are needed to run the bike.

yah... i would one to solve my bike acceleration problems too. i find it very sluggish when going up slopes. the pick-up is not that fast. however, on a level road and top-end speed, i find it ok.

the other thing, when pillion somebody... even on level road... acceleration sucks too. i noticed even Vespas can outrun my ride... sigh.

what gives???

if s'pore allow bikes to be autosculpt n have unlimited mods... i tink there will be vespas lookin like harleys, x1s looking like scramblers n runners lookin like speeding bullets.. :cheeky: ....n humans in black trash bags..

btw is there any stage6 parts in sg?

-death is a promise from god at birth-

-everyone dies, but only some lived-

currently no...u hav to import the parts urself.

A gentle reminder Stage6 performace parts r usually meant for 50-70cc scoots thus no compaitable on our bigger CC scoots...other than those look nicer accessories that can be co-used. The better understanding of available parts u will be able to understand wat can be used n wat cant

of coz...sprint machines r meant to be like dat...when racing, every single gram counts...keep wat is needed n dump wat is useless :D

Acceleration problems can be of many different issues thus it is also hard to pinpoint wat is happening...only the rider who feel it will understand thus equip wif better knowledge on the machine gain by experience over time, it will be much easier know wat is going on.

I guess we really need to mod the reed cage.. got to be professional to that. hmm thats quite a major. If we success on doing it, most probably i wanna chuck in scrambler V-Force reeds.

If not, just stick to 32mm like what u said.. No point if its a bigger carb but will overkill everything n down to waste.

So i guess Typhoon cnt fit our Malossi blocks since its an air cooled system?

Correct me if im wrong.. Anyway i think i ever saw ur fren typhoon b4.. Domino throttle is fitted, modded dashboards n more.

You're right! so what do u think?

Same machine, same speed but diff size wheel.

Which sprints first. (purpose for sprint only)

u cant compare an auto bike with vespa coz vespa uses direct shaft to the wheel with manual gears BUT auto bikes uses belting, rollers n it uses centrifugal force.

Anyway you got to know your very own machine.. Maybe u can ask us and we can give comments or tips but we dont really know what exactly your bike problem is. Take your time to ride as you learn. Learn the hard way and thats the best.. and of coz its not wrong to ask ard.
