i would like to share an experience with tis shop... (in tis thread)

i wanted a BMW grip, usuali this shop ( of tis thread) will take from motoworld, but mworld no stock , so i went to performances motor at btimah , to purchase a pair of grip.

being a supporter for that mechanic since he working in his ex shop, been looking up 2 him for over 2yrs...

ya, s i was saying, being his supporter, i brought my grips to his shop to use his air gun to take out n replace on the BM grips...

tat day , i had with me a puig windscreen i got from kelatan lane, so i tot on the way fix the screeen too, anyway wat the heck , only 4screws...

after fixing up the grips n screen (( MYSELF )) , i thank tat mechanic, s i pushing my bike out, tat young cad came up to me , politely told

me,

" nextime dun bring thgs which u didnt buy from my shop to fix in the shop, u wan, can bring here, ask us to fix for u , n jus pay for the labour charge...."

anyway , i called up n informed the boss, nthg has been done to follow.

i reali disappointed and oso curious , wat's the labour charge to install grips...? ....hmmm

To the HAtYAiBU who have posted the commments of that *mech*

QUESTIONs

1) Try to think of what you have done, THAT MECH HAD TOLD YOU OFF BECAUSE OF SOMETHING NOt RITE THAT YOU HAVE DONE...Well thats human nature i think as if you were to encounter someone using your staffs without your aknowledgement AND EVEN brought something from other shop and fix it down there.....WELL I thinnk no bike shop in singapore will be happy to entertain you...

Okie if you could maybe name any bikeshop that are happy when customers COME DOWN> BRING OWN THINGS> FIX THEMSELVES>TOLD OFF>POST COMMENTS & ###### AROUND>>> hey thats not the way

ANSwers

Next time COME DOWN>GET THEM TO ORDER>LET THEM FIX>PAY UP>SIT BACK & RELAX>

(i wasted my EYE power to read about your post ,, who to blame, mYselF only rite..

Thats the same like your case (who to blame???) YOURSELVES???

In many industries there are different charges for different service...

E.g.. Dinning - bring own wine they charge you corkage fee..How much labour they use to pull the CORK out?? and also pour the wine huh??

Parking services - car park fee (many place you got to park yourselves somemore. How much energy yoou need for parking???

To end this posting , i suggest any one who have read this to bare this message in mind..the above text message posted is only based on a purely inspired essay, it means that if Anyone feel insulted, uneasy, unsastified, irritated or uncomfortable, PLS think back of how the MECH & THE BOSS FEEL>>>

Well... Looking at my user name i guess all but the thickest ones will noe who i am... I thank , and am indeed very grateful for everyones' kind support these few months.. bikeworkz would not hv survived without u guys help.. a big THANK YOU ALL!!!!

However, as always, no one in this world can satisfy everyone, everytime... In view of this heated grip discussion, i feel obliged to answer everyones question.

Namely,

1 ) A nominal fee of $2 is requested should a grip change be needed, however, as some of u guys might noe, we give grips free once in a while to some of our guys.. its nothing much really, just a way to say thanks for their kind patronage...

My point is gentlemen, lets not forget the rule that when u try to have KFC in a Macdonald joint, it really doesnt cost Mac any money at all.. its just kinda rude.... Most likely they will ask u to leave. I didnt. A fine analogy by cold fire...

I dare say that i can still afford not to be paid $2 at this point of time.. But I really DO NOT APPRECIATE PPL calling my guys whom I will defend relentlessly silly names like using the word " CAD " on them. Look it up in the dictionary and surpraise urself wat it means. If anyone finds me, or any of my guys rude, dishonest or impolite. maybe u ought to hv a look at urself before one starts to post rubbish in other Bikeshops thread.

Let me assure you that I will not be hesitant to employ a solicitor to

resolve any issues or losses resulting from this flaming...

I know it sounds ham fisted, but I am only being fair to my guys, who work long and hard to keep everyone happy, I think everyone who has seen us work will vouch for this. I am still the same Guy whom will allow anyone who askes to kiddy ride my Busa, if its a fault on my part in operating the garage, i am happy to sit down ,buy a coffee and talk abt it. Y not? It helps us both doesnt it?

Pertaining this issue, I feel its justified that my guys did wat they did.

Cheers and Regards,

Common and tell us what happened during the 5 hours trip...

Its kind of interesting to everyone single one reading as your posting seems like theres alot who can REALLY REALLY do that... (to reach MALACCA from Singapore in less than an hour).

Pls also take in consideration that there are many factors involving e.g custom jam, heavy traffic etc...

Also to all of whoever is taken in by "theres alot of us who can do it" , is this a kind of showing off or maybe there is really lots of them who can do it? Maybe its time for me to look hard into the Malaysia map again...

Or maybe you can guide people like us who couldnt do it.. anything will be fine, like a pointer you see...and think me got to change to A SPORTS TOURING BIKE TO DO IT IZZIT? By any chance do you own a school to teach people how to get to MALACCA in less than an hour? Money will come in for sure, but not for posting STUPID remarks on the forum.

Nevermind i will still stick to my OLD CHICKEN as it is still producing eggs at a fast rate, yes FAST RATE...

Would you mind guiding my old chicken anot?? If not also nevermind as i also think its time to change to a HAtyaBUSA izzzit...

Well think from now on me really got to start riding like you or i will be left behind if we are to go touring ...............

:cheer: I agree with u.....

HAtYAiBUSA- > I can see you are trying hard to defame tis shop...... I really wonder why.....

Think abt it. Why you are the only one been reprimanded???

For example, Did u clean up the mess you created everytime before you leave???

It is juz courtesy to clean up after making hell of a mess......

And also you saying you are a supporter for 2yrs???? After you have been reprimanded did you ask why? Or you know the actual reasons and out of anger you juz wanna massive defame.... A bit childish way to do...... :sian:

Think very carefully before you repost again...... :nono:

I had my bike's carb serviced at Bikeworkz before. I'm riding a GSXR400. The job was great. My bike had went out of tune, i hit RESERVE on about 120km! Thats insane. Went there, had my air filter changed and carbs tuned, now i can hit about 260km or more on a full tank before reserve. :D

let's face the real world kid, there's no free lunch in this world.

if you think you can adjust yourself, save your $8 and DIY.

If the mech spend 1/2 hrs to adjust your bike, i dont see why they cannot charge you $8.

Bike shop need to pay their mech, if everyone go there adjust minor thing and ther mech spend all his time doing small stuff without charging, do you think it is fair to the bike shop owner? he pays his mech and you come and use up his mech's time and refuse to pay?

do you work for free? if you work for free then i got nothing to say, but you also charge your boss if you do OT right?

I LET YOU BE YOUR OWN JUDGE.

think once more time, is it fair for you not to pay them when you use their tools and times?

grow up man...

yupz, did ask one of the mech there,... im their regular ,not some tom dicck , morever they dun've the grip i wan, so i go get myself, n every1 there at that time so busy, so i fix myself borrowing the airgun thingie, which took me 1min to get the grips out n back,

so i wonder, how much do i have to pay for the labour of fixing a pair of grips

after the incident tat very day , i informed the BOSS of that shop , of wat happened , he said> n he say will check with the "chief" mech, but till then , i nv heard from him...

so in the 1st place . when i told your mech , tat i wan fix my grips, he said jus use the airgun , so i use lor. n NOBODY told me to pay $2 , ...

tell u what, i suggest u make a price listing like McDonald's n KFC , telling ppl how much u charge for things like fixing on grips, tightening chain, those little thgs tat shops dun charge their regulars... n oso do make a big sign like most foodcourts have, telling ppl NO OUTSIDE FOOD pls... so ppl wont bring things tat u dun carry to go your shop fix.... :thumb:

that part , is my fault, the cad word is jus a typo, was intending 2 type chap, somehow tat word came out

anyway , jus get straight to the point... of a shop being so calculative..

i dun c Ah Chong aka PLANET charging his customers those little thgs,

do shops survive on earning those $2 n in the end losing a regular customer, r u saying i cnt afford $2, ? u go think , if i can afford a $15 charge from your shop, jus to transfer my already fixed horn which i took our from my previous bike to fix on my current bike, so wat is $2 ?
