Hi sorry for late reply but hope this will help

Yes, it does look badass & full of torque, it can pull you as low as 900rpm, I had been riding the MT for about 3 yrs in the past, feels comfortable to bust around town or short trips to Malaysia, almost upright sitting position as close to the S4... I did ride the MT once from Singapore to Bangkok then ride back to Singapore, total about 4,000km trip & the ride throughout is still bearable with minimum comfort IMO because of tiredness & wind blast, nevertheless this beast's seat is a bit tall & its heavy, if you are under 1.70m, chances are you will have to tip-toe & try to balance the heavy weight.

Don't worry about the heat from the MT, the high performance sport bikes' engine even with coolant are much hotter than the MT's engine, I got no sweat riding the MT in the past, except for few trips while we have to stay in the long queue in custom...

IMO the one thing you would have to worry for, is that they are the rare beast in Sg, if I recall there are only 16 units in Singapore... and as far as I know Hong Leong (Yamaha agent) is not taking the MT years ago. Chances are you would like to hunt for a second-hand or you would try your luck for other big bike shop for parallel import... Another issue is most insurance company would not cover you with a 1700cc bike unless for a right (high) price. If I recall my first insurance 1st party was like S$2,000 & Road tax at S$666 per year...

Hope this help

Thanks! Really helped a lot. I'm still open to a class 2 bike option hahaha. Insurance will definitely kill it hmm

Extremely quiet here. Are everyone happy with their MT01s? If not I may consider giving you a reasonable offer. I'm thinking about importing one, if I don't find one in Singapore.

Anybody knows how many is left?
