Retaining Number Plate

Hi,

Does anyone know the procedure to retain the Bike Number Plate?

The current bike (Let's call it Bike 1), has my wanted Number Plate. I'm thinking of bringing over that wanted Number over to another 2nd hand bike (Let's call it Bike 2). Bike 1 still has 4 years of COE left. Bike 2 also has 4 years of COE left.

Sooooo...

Bike 1 Number Plate goes over to Bike 2 Number Plate.

So what happens to Bike 1 now? New registered number plate? What happens to Bike 2's old number plate? Deregistered? Can bike 1 and bike 2 just swap number plates?

Permanent? you can swap as many times as you want as long as you can pay the exhorbitant LTA charges. BTW, swap numbers btween 2 bikes under ur name will cost you at least $2600

anyway, i miss wildcard.

Let say bike 1 and 2 are under your name, then you only pay $2600 to swap the numbers.

If bike 1 is yours and bike 2 is belong to other's, then you need to pay transfer fees x 2 + $2600 + one to two days insurances of bike 2.

How if we don't swap numbers, but rather, Bike 1 is currently under my name, Bike 2 is NOT under my name. The point is I want Bike 1's number to go to Bike 2, I don't care where Bike 2 number goes to.

So what happens now?

Ok, in this case.

Bike 1 Transfer fee x2 + $1300 + one to two days bike 1 insurance.

OR

Bike 2 Transfer fee x2 + $1300 + one to two days bike 2 insurance.

Bike 1 number go to bike 2. Then take a new number for Bike 1.

can this be done? means Bike 1 take a new FBC plate
