Gilera Fuoco 500 - 2009 /2010

I just bought a 2nd Hand Fuoco and it's due for vehicle inspection. I went to the Sin Ming STA and was told that they don't inspect 3 wheelers.

 

Any idea which inspection centre inspects 3 wheelers?

Hi guys,

Need help here. My engine check light came on yesterday. Immediately lost engine power. Could go max only 50kmh.

Today, it started normally. However, 5 minutes later the light came on again.

What could be the possible causes?

The previous owner has already changed 02 sensors x 2. Could it be the same sensors giving problems?

Appreciate all feedbacks before i decide to ride in to ADH.

hi all! i've been riding a black fuoco since 2012. only now that i chance upon this thread. any meet ups recently?

read about some facing the stalling problem. it seems i had that issue too. initially ADH kept saying that the air filter was dirty so they cleaned it but the problem would come back again. mine stalled at random times. it could be at the expressways, normal roads or traffic light. it wasn't until the 4th time i brought it back for the same problem that they changed the engine cutoff switch which was apparently loose. stalling completely gone after the switch was change. hope this can help any fellow fuoco rider. if ADH cannot solve the problem, try going to taihin. they are quite experienced in scooters and very friendly people. after going to taihin, i was quite sick of them ripping me off for the price of a simple servicing.

recently also went to change the clutch to the dr pulley ones. got rid of the vibrations when the bike is moving off. can give that a try too if you wanna get a smooth acceleration off traffic lights.

Hi Guys,

 

I have a problem with a friend's fuoco which i am currently using.

 

At start of the day, I warmed up the bike 1min prior to riding. However after 2-3minutes of riding, the bike will stall. When i notice it is going to stall, throttling does not help. I can throttle but the bike seem to lose power until it stops completely. I can't crank when bike has stopped. No cranking sound heard when start button is pressed.

 

However, when i turn the engine off and back on, i can start the bike and it will be ok for the rest of the ride. So the problem seem to occur when using the bike after a long rest period of 8 or more hours.

 

Things i have done

- changed battery

- confirmed rectifier/coil ok and working as voltmeter is reporting normal 14V charging voltage during rides.

- tank has been drained and refueled to eliminate water in tank problem

- servicing done 1 week ago with change in spark plugs, engine oil, air filter

 

Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Just an update,

My engine check light came on due to loose wire socket. My mechanic went thru the electrical system and found some sockets a wee bit loose. Sprayed some contqct cleaner, pushed the socket in and all's well now.

Hello everyone, anybody experience rough vibrations at low RPM like between 2000 - 3000rpm? Usually after closing throttle and reopen for pick up?

I always have this issue as well but I noticed that 1 - 2 weeks after oil change the vibration is less, then as time pass by it get worse until the next oil change. I am getting my workshop to have a look into this.

I have did some upgrade to HiT clutch 2 months back and it really helps to tone down the vibration a lot. I just rang Tai Hin up and they said that it could be dust collected at the clutch and suggest to do a servicing of the clutch. Anyway, anyone interested in meetup to share about this bike? We could start a chat group in whatsapps if anyone is interested =)
