haha... van persie scored a good goal against the finnish side... :thumb:

crouch is not bad what... haha.. seen him play a few matches... very good in the air and has got good feet as well... would be a good buy in my opinion...

Crouch EPL standard, but don't tink will ever be world-class. Baros can, but just tat also cannot click in LFC, but always score for Czech. Maybe LFC don't have players like Nedved.....

yeah... i think the clicking factor is very important... sometimes even if you give liverpool adriano or ronaldo oso might not help... real madrid is a classic example.. they've got the best in the world but still, they aren't winning as they should... who knows, crouch may click in with liverpool and rise as a star like henry did with arsenal?

i do hope they'll buy some big names this summer... :lovestruck:

Crouch like Henry???? Cannot lah, bro. You don't compare Garcia or Pires with Zidane.....

At least LFC like names... too bad Arsenal likes to buy those without name and make them super stars.

Share with you all this fellow's opinion below.... quite funny and kiam par!!!! Sometimes people are cheap..... you give them an apple and they want the whole basket.

I sometimes have this kind attitude too....

Nope, What’s Outrageous Is That It’s Only The First Qualy Round

First qualifying round? Holders expected to play six games before entering the competition they won. This is a joke. People may say we should be grateful but come on. Our players will be exhausted before the season starts meaning a struggle in the league again and difficulties to get 4th spot once again. All because the FA are blind enough to state qualification through the league only. Since when was finishing in one of three runner up spots a bigger achievement then winning the biggest club trophy in Europe (if not the world). The irony is we would have had 4th sown up if we hadn't tried so hard in Europe.

This decision after all the talks smacks of a compromise suited to our detractors who have reluctantly let us in only to make it as hard as possible for us to succeed. Half our players will have only had a couple of weeks off due to international duty by the time of the first match and then we've gat the world club championships to look forward to later in the season. How many games are we going to be expected to play this season???? I hope that this is not the precedence to be set for the sake of any other club that may end up in our situation.

Actually this time the top four lost out, cos they have to share the money with pool, cos instead of dividing by 4, it is 5. Quite unfair.... think the difference is 5 mil per team.

Reds fans' rage over UEFA decision

Friday June 10 2005

Liverpool have won the right to defend their Champions League trophy next season but UEFA's decision to make Rafael Benitez' side play six qualifying matches led to accusations that they are treating the Reds with "contempt."

Liverpool's chief executive Rick Parry welcomed the decision but fans' leaders have been less diplomatic while even the Premier League have been critical of UEFA's rulings.

Les Lawson, spokesman for the Liverpool international supporters club, said: "UEFA have had to sort it out and they have done the minimum possible. They have treated their own champions with contempt."

Former Liverpool player David Fairclough, a member of the 1978 European Cup side, agreed, saying: "They have given Liverpool the smallest crumb imaginable."

The club will keep their place among UEFA's eight top seeds but the first game of three two-legged qualifiers will be on July 12. Liverpool had hoped they would be allowed into the final qualifier in mid-August.

Liverpool have also been told by UEFA that they will be rated as the lowest English qualifier in terms of payments from the market pool - made up of Champions League TV money - earning 10% or 15% of the £20million instead of being given the 30% or 40% slice normally allotted to defending champions.

There will also be an impact on the other four English clubs who may have to share that pot five ways, as well as a further £20million from the pool which is distributed according to how many games each side plays in the group stage or beyond.

UEFA spokesman William Gaillard admitted this would be "a burden on the other English-based clubs."

haha... have to agree with you for once that its like soap opera man... then again, i think all liverpool fans have to put the club before player... so whatever players that come in and out is not really an issue as long as the club still remains... i believe even if he leaves, liverpool will still be able to get good players to sustain the club...

and now... he's staying... :cheeky:

i donno la ah.. im not an Lpool fan... but the way i c it, Lpool seems to be playing better when he is not playing...

and i feel that he shd go to a better club if he wanna chase championships.. do u agree RC?

perhaps... only to chelsea cos i think they are just too strong... but i think liverpool will be as good as going anywhere else... Liverpool still has what it takes to challenge for the title and i believe benitez will step up the game against the manu, chelsea and arsenal...

leave if he wants...i hate to play this waiting game..

i rather have 10 carraghers in a team rather than 10 gerrards...

carragher plays a dirty position without any glam or attention...yet he doesnt complain or whines about leaving..

this is what i call committment...& a love for liverpool.

haiz... Liverpool ah Liverpool... Gerrard ah Gerrard.....

only u guys gcan drive me crazy...drown me in the depths of dissapointment one day and lift me up to ultimate euphoria the next...

I curse when u can't beat Birmingham at Anfield, and yet, u give me the memory of Istanbul 2005.... forever etched in my memory till the day that I die....

What do I do with a club that plays with my emotions so much???

Support it with all my heart!!! LFC is about heart & spirit...and success will follow!

Let the Abramovichs & Glazers play the $$ game....

Let Ferguson, Wenger and Mourinho play the mind games...

Rafa & Gerrard & the Reds will just give the Kop more wonderful moments to store in their already overflowing list of memorable football nights...

Is it any wonder I love this club?? :lovestruck: :cheer: :cheer:

Go REDS go!!

My blood is red for a reason.....

It is the Red of Liverpool Football Club!

this is the kind of player that liverpool needs to bring back the glory days..players whom play for liverpool not for money..but for passion..he doesnt asks for exhorbitant pay cheques..just for him to play & for a new contract when it expires. he can have a lifetime contract if i were rick parry.

but by the looks of it..the modern game is changing..i can only think of maldini as a 1 team man..hopefully carragher will be another..

don't think we'll have the glory days back... unless liverpool can bring some world class players... thr problem with pool these days is that they lack consistency... whenever they hold the ball, there is a tendency for them to lose it oso... :sian:
