Here is my ride, '03 US-spec Galant ES with optional OEM 16" alloy wheels. It has a stupid American-spec 2.4 liter (SOHC, what the...!) inline-4 engine that makes only 140 horses. But it has plenty of low-mid-range torque and uses 92-octane (they call that 87 in USA), so I'm not complaining.

i used my own car for my wedding and even drove myself and my bride...heh heh

I felt that it is more meaning full to use one's own car.

Throttle, it's good to hear from you. Beautiful bride, cool ride - what more could you ask for? :thumb:

Anyway I just updated my signature pic. It was taken in Canada last weekend when I was there to visit my girlfriend (exchange student there).

I uploaded the pic I attached previously to my school server so you should be able to see it in the main screen. That's my car in the parking lot right beneath my apartment block. It was a lot of snow.

I would say that it's a handsome car (ditto to Throttle). But it is lacking in power, or should I say it's overweight? It has 3100lbs curb weight, which is 1400kg. That is a lot of metal for 140 horses to pull.

Power: 104 kW , 140 HP SAE @ 5,500 rpm; 155 ft lb , 210 Nm @ 4,000 rpm

I have been thinking of stiffer springs and gas struts / shocks. In stock form, the car is comfortable (especially with the Goodyear Comfortred tires) but it rolls too much in corners, and understeers noticably.

he use Zaino, i think...

FYI, how shiny or reflective the waxing can be on a car depends on the color as well.

The most solid one is of course black...not just simple black but true jet black.

Just like Vtec's ride color.

Wait til you see it at night under the skylight! :thumb:

Electric polishers used to be reserved for skilled detailing professionals. But with more and more enthusiasts wanting to pamper their vehicles themselves, polishers have become a prominent tool in garages everywhere. Manufacturers took the hint and improved the traditional design of polishers to make them more user-friendly. The result is today’s dual-action polishers.

Polishers come in two varieties: orbital and dual action. Orbital polishers have a rotating pad that polishes as the user moves the machine over the surface of the vehicle. These polishers require the user to keep moving so that heat generated by the pad does not burn the paint. Used properly, orbital polishers are very effective and give the user a lot of control over the outcome of the polish.

Dual action polishers are excellent for enthusiasts and detailing novices. These polishers rotate the pad like an orbital polisher, and they move the pad back and forth. The dual motion means that the polisher does not stay in one spot. You might even say it propels itself. This prevents burning the paint. A dual action polisher is ideal for people who are new to mechanical detailing, or just don’t want to risk it.

And a dual-action polisher like the Porter Cable 7424 and the Makita BO6040 enhance the performance of many rubbing compounds by providing twice the rubbing action. These polishers attack scratches from all sides without the user doing extra work. This multidirectional motion also enhances the results of buffing pads by moving in a faster and more consistent motion that you could by hand.
