yeah 2B RC is cheaper than 2A one. So keep going!

Thanks bro. Have booked 2 RR and 2 CR. 1RR and 1CR the last 2 day before TP

That great! wow now tp less than a month can get date!? Nice remember keep going for circuit revision. Good Luck!

Yes bro, actually can get it earlier but cannot make it. Probably they are more strict in L7 now.

that is great. I check the ssdc website and next TP class 2b is on 25 Aug. Nice sian last time must wait 2 months.

Class 2a and 2 must wait like 1 month + a little but I guess is still better than last time 2 months to 3 months...

Counting down to month end to go back to ssdc.

L3(i) today... failed. 2 weeks since passed L2 cos no empty weekend slot.

2 weeks no touch bike suddenly make me feel "unfamiliar" with it this afternoon. Committed a few low class mistakes like stop without clutch-in (bike stalled), tap front brake when turning (fall lah, of course). Need to go back for next lesson asap else will have same problem again.

Got this bike that like to "stuck" at neutral gear, regardless up or down gear... entered fig. 8 & crank course few times in neutral.

Comfort myself say "Lucky now kena this, if TP then die liao."

So I "act cool" and change gear in circuit. Question: Is this allowed during TP?

Hey guys! Was contemplating whether I should post or just be a silent reader but decided to post anyway hehe. Enrolled in late May and am now waiting to clear L4 this coming Monday. Booked 2 CR during these couple of days as well. Really really REALLY nervous. Not of the courses and all but just being in the circuit itself is nerve-wrecking. Maybe its just me overthinking but I always feel like I might get hit any second and die instantly. Sounds crazy right. I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way :lol::lol:

My progress so far:

L1 - 5x

L2 - 5x

L3(1) - 2x

L3(2) - 1x

Had a very rough start because it took so long to get used to handling a bike. Quite proud of how much I improved. (Trust me, I lost count of how many times I fell).

Wish me luck! Good luck to fellow learners too. :D

Hey there, no worries.. Its ok to repeat many times cause u need to b confident n able to handle bike..its totally different wen u will b riding on the road by urself wen u pass.. its best to learn everything u can in school.. show ur confidence wen riding during lesson 4 n do the right technique on the courses.. During CR u can ask the instructor to help look at u wen u doing the courses.. ask them if timing is fine n if u do correctly.. blind spot n chk back is impt as they will not miss it if u fail to do so.. if ur eyes luk at the kerb n ur mind tink negative u will end up hiting the kerb..so luk far n not at those point which u tink u will hit n end up falling.. it is definitely nerve wrecking for everyone at lesson 4.. but u have to breathe in n out n remain calm.. i was nervous too previously and eyesight tends to always luk at kerb n ended up hitting the kerb but my hubby always tell me breathe in n out n remain calm, eyesight always luk far n luk at where u goin dun luk down. N it works..

Im just a small girl riding.. Don't come near me..

Hey there,

Its best to ask the instructor so u shld ask the next lesson..but wat i remember previously wen i ask them was that if it did go to neutral , quickly kick up to gear 2 n shld b ok.. but not sure now if TP change their rules..

Best of luck n show ur confidence !

If there is any questions remember to ask and clarify on the spot so as not to keep repeating the same mistakes.

Reading the thread reminds me of the time when i was taking my 2B. Good Luck and be confident everyone!

The reason your gear stuck at neutral is bcos you did not gain enuff speed before kicking up gear. And it will be better to change to 2nd gear right before you enter the course. So that when you are in it, you can focus on the turning and easier to achieve under 11s.

Last year i was with SSDC, and i attended L3(i) once before stopping lesson. The instructor din mention abt this. Currently with CDC, and i had one particular instructor who would keep emphasizing to gain enuff speed else will kick to neutral, instead of 2nd gear.

I missed having lessons at SSDC.

Lesson 6 is all about public road test route. But however do not commit mistakes like right foot down, never stop at stop line, wide u-turn etc.

Instructor can fail you just because of any silly immediate mistakes. Good luck

Thanks for the information & encouragement.

L3(i) again today and... failed, again. Don't know why but was damn bloody nervous this morning. The more I get nervous, the more mistakes I made. Had only myself to blame lor.

Regarding the "stuck in neutral gear" thing... Today the Instructor bike same problem. He mentioned that some bike will have this problem when speed is insufficient and kicking too softly. It will engage 2nd gear but the moment open throttle, it drop to neutral. So... speed + kick hard!

Next lesson booked liao... chiong arh!!!!!!

Try to relax and go with more speed during gear 1 and kick up to gear 2. Last time when I was in CDC in fig 8, I too always engaged many time neutral gear. In ssdc there is a "longer" way to fig 8 so you have enough speed to definitely kick to gear 2. dare to throttle more at gear 1 and kick it up! I do agree maybe the bike you have got problem. I still remember got one bike I take, start engine, throttle and it die off.. Instructor say no warm up but I show him the problem then he ask me change bike.

Lane changing most likely is change lane abruptly? Lane change just take your time stick to line first, check mirror then blind spot and cut to the lane slowly. because I got this mistake on my lesson 5 as I change lane fast like what I did with my class 3 which is wrong. eh actually never inch out at the white line at gate outside turning right to temple is ok one. the inch out is actually to ease the traffic at the back from my previous instructor. But seriously difference instructor got different take. So during my TP, and traffic quite clear, once I stop at stop line, check clear and just go already.

That's why, i get confuse. I was told that it wasnt neccessary. But anyway, i passed my Lesson 6 already last friday. Tomorrow my Lesson 7. I have to clear my lesson 7 before booking the practical test right?

Good! clear lesson 7 and all theory lessons before booking TP. I still remember some instructors were asking us why never inch out etc must inch out..

Can we buy motorbike even we got no license?

Go for CR before your lesson to correct your mistakes. You can buy motorbike without license but most likely need to layup or put someone else as rider insurance.

Third attempt at L3(i) this morning and passed!! Hooray!!!

Cool weather and told myself to stay "calm"... this helps. Floor was wet due to rain last night & this morning (luckily stopped before lesson started). Initially don't dare to go fast in Fig. 8 but see Instructor go fast also no prob., so I open throttle and everything went rather smooth.

I'm a slow learner and I found that techniques differs from Instructor to Instructor. Today happened that the method suits me so shall stick to this.

L3(ii) booked! Will definitely go for CR after passing. Still need to kick some bad habits and get myself more familiar with everything, especially my weak spot of bike handling at low speed.

Also learnt something (not new, just that I keep forgetting)... if can't change gear, just release the clutch a bit and kick!
