I am a keen Texas Hold'em player but I mostly play for fun. At gatherings at friends or relatives place, over the Internet etc. But I have yet to register myself on one of those sites whereby you use credit cards to play against semi-professionals and amateurs but can give you a ticket to the WSOP (World Series of Poker)

there is actually a community of poker player in sg here..maybe close to a hundred.

 

i know them thur meetup.com under singapore poker or singapore texas hold em. its a weekly event! Professional poker table and chips are used. play 0.50c/1$ no limit , and 1/2$ no limit.

 

online are great but u muz find 3th party (moneybookers,neteller) same as paypal of ebay to fund ur account as credit card here is a no no !!!!

Think I have this exact same set. I think I need to buy another set as one set not enough. Sometimes have to open another table at my house then not enough chips. What level is the shop is Kallang Leisure shopping centre?

You can try online sites like pokerstars or full tilt .... they have free games where you play without money too.... If you are playing from singapore you need a third party ... I m playing from overseas so no beri sure...

 

Normally, will try to play SNG ST. Coz i cant concentrate for too long.. . have frens who play MTT and win a few hundred usd in a few hours of work...

 

By the way, if you guys need to buy holdem chips set or books or anything poker I will be able to help. I do return to singapore on certain occasions ... Didnt know there is a poker community in singapore... Do they have a forum?

Not to my knowledge. When I organise its by invite or word of mouth to friends only. I play both pokerstars and full tilt poker, I use entropay to deposit money in. I am currently reading Super System by Doyle Brunson as well. Any other books to recommend?
