Hi guys. From a 2stroke bike i just changed to a spec3. Previous owner say haven change eo for quite some time. Bike is abnormally hot when i go fast and pickup is quite sluggish. Is this the 'feel' that im looking for to indicate need to change eo, or smth else. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Yes..time to change. 4 strokes engine and 2 strokes are different as the latter uses only gear box oil for gears and 2T-oil for cyclinder while 4 strokes uses cycliner oil for lube performance of the combustion chambers.

After changing to ahpek's oil, my whole bike became so much smoother than before & my RPM can easily hit 10 & above without the tension of something dragging you back.

Thanks for all the friendly advise & lesson ah pek.

Ahpek engine oil must try arh!

went to use ah pek's eo last sat..

really pai seh, can't hear or feel any difference..

probably my prev eo was still going strong...

he very good, help me troubleshoot lotsa things, and help me understand my bike better.

that evening, i pick my gf... felt the true difference...

usually with pillion, u can feel the loss of power...

now, move off and pick up didn't feel sluggish

@ gear 6, the pickup from 5k (80km/h) to 7k (110km/h) was like without pillion.

Either ah pek blend taking effect, or she loss alot of weight...

For the price and the tips, I would go back to ah pek again~~ ^_^

lastly... fyi, he doesn't look like "that"

Do what's right, not what you think is right. =)

Anyone using Simota oil filter can give any review or feedback? Heard it can be washed and re-use like those aftermarket air filter.

umm are you referring to simota air filter or oil filter? cuz u typed oil filter. anyway i m using simota racing air filter on my spec2. no preference and sticking to it as i don't feel the need to change to KNN. I do notice review for simota are bad from most mechanic perhaps they wanna encourage in sales of purchasing their KNN or BMC air filter haha:cheeky::cheeky:

yes it is rewashable. If you are comparing it simota with KNN or BMC, i would say it does not make much difference in performance or hp gain. Actually i find the air filter don't play apart much in performance gain but ofcuz after market air filter is definitely better than stock air filter. Unless you want pod open filter then its different story:cheeky:

Bro you must try his grounding too. I did my servicing with him few months back. Ah pek EO + ah pek grounding cum new spark plug. Riding 140km/h there is no much vibration and too smooth until i don't even notice my speed on my spec2.

haha while on topic. I did try out other EO so called the famous one motul 300v. It would say it is comparable but i m waiting how long it would last compare to ah pek eo. ah pek eo lasted me 9000km mileage and dont feel sluggish or heavy yet. After this motul 300v, i am gonna try Agip, Liquid moly, xrev or maxima and so on and will monitor how long it would last. HAHA and i have a feeling i would definitely be going back to ah pek eo after allowing myself to be guinea pig. Other riders' review for ahpek eo are good but I have to try to know it myself. Just a small sacrifice once and for all for the biking years ahead. takecare and ride safe fellow riders.

for those who try other EO, pls share about good and bad thing about how you felt.

There's Simota oil filter out there. My friend bought it from Chong Aik for his CBR1000RR.

Stock honda oil filter is good enough for everyday use..but i choose k&n ones as they have the 17mm nut on its body makes easier it easier to tighten and loosen coz i diy my oil change..

Is the internal holes and filtering rate in K&N and in the stock same? Is anyway we could find out the flow rate. I prefer high flow.

For the flow rate compare to the stock ones i'm not sure, you have to send for testing at a lab..what you can do is cut open the oil filter, both k&n and stock..see for yourself the filter element things like surface area..internal bypass valve etc etc..and conpare and make your choice..
