I worried about the CBR929 insurance, and the bike maybe an overkill for me since I use mostly for short trip riding to work place, abt 10mins ride.

 

I'm looking for a used forza, peronally I think its not worth to pay over $10K for a brand new 250cc scooter.

 

I was informed there is a used Forza at New Southern, going tomorrow to see if its still ard.

Went to new southern, there was no Forza there, only saw a FR plate foresight 250.

 

Guess this bike very hard to find, will have to keep searching.

It's d brand... Not I any nw brand it myself. U not there today tite? Didn't see U....

Motovation slider only have standard length. It cost $70 for standard size but for custom make is $120. U got it?

1. Is there any certain mileage to overhaul the bandit?

2. Is there a need to overhaul once the meter passes 1 revolution?

3. Do you recommend any shops or mechanics for the overhaul of bandits?

4. How much do you reckon that it will cost?

5. Is it worthwhile doing so to prolong the lifespan of the bandit?

6. Is there anyway or any mechanic that I can use for the repair of CDI without spending the cost of a entirely new CDI? Maybe someone who re-solder the CDI.!

No, unless there is problem with the engine e.g adnormal engine noise.

No, same ans as #1.

Guan Hoe at Eunos Ave 3 because they know the spec of suzuki bike. Other shop may not even know what is the valve clearance spec.

You mean overhaul suzuki engine?? Not sure never do it before and suzuki engine is almost bullet proof unless you never maintain it properly.

 

5. Is it worthwhile doing so to prolong the lifespan of the bandit?

There is a old saying if its not broken don't fix it, you may do more harm than good if the engine is service by the inexperience mechanic. But if you have loads of money no one is stopping you.

In the old thread I wrote abt replacing capacitors and transistor on the CDI, there are a few cases which it was successful. Personally I have experimented with a spoilt CDI, contributed by a ex bandit rider, by changing the said electrical component but the CDI never revive. So it all depends what component is failed in the CDI. Not sure if its a myth, the US bandit forum says never push start the bandit 400, it will blow the CDI. I found out myself if the bandit will not start after 2-3 clicks, tried to off and on the kill switch, it will fire up immediately.
