Just to add to my post.

I have had bikes and cars stolen from me in England, think its a safe place? When you are already at the mercy of the tax, you get shafted by crooks who get satellite tv , sim cards free and councellors to giude them at the expense of the tax payer in prison for doing wrong.

Suddenly, a caning makes perfect sense for robbery. England is too bloody correct and full of sh*te so these toe rags get support. I like the Singapore way.

I am British, but I think my country stinks and I am making no plan to go back there. Sorry Brucey.

I like Singapore very much , been here for almost 10 years on employment passes, but when the work stops then I'll go home.

My home is now........Thailand.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Ride on............................crazytown.

Well I can't argue with many of the points you make....I've had cars pinched (no bikes though) back when I was a student and shortly thereafter. Having said that I'm a generally a glass half full kind of bloke - UK's still got some great things going for it and I enjoy going back.... ...though wish the government would grow some balls and stop pandering to the politically correct idiots. I'll say no more or I'll get my self in trouble ;)

also about 25 years old and a great song. ...or for something completely different search - SLF - "at the edge" another classic!

OK, back to bikes - I just ordered some Rizoma rear sets from UK, absolutely cannot wait to get hold of them :D Personified - thanks for the offer, but gf's in UK at the moment so it was worth my while.

SLF....."At the edge" was one of the first 7" records I bought when it was released in about 1980......it is a classic.

I guess that means I'm also classic then, oh dear.

Brucey I have seen SLF play back in 1983. I have seen loads of old punk bands play but wasn't allowed out to see the Clash as I was doing my CSE's. Failed most of them, would have be having better life of actually seeing the Clash play than a grade C in French.

I've seen the Damned play about 7 times ( once with three Nuns and The Captain stark b**llock naked ), Souxsie, Ruts, UK Subs about 10 times, Crass, Angelic Upstarts, Adam and the Ants ( before they went strange ), Bowwowwow, Killing Joke a few times, 999, Exploited.

They were the times,,,,

So.....Rizoma rearsets fitted. they look great, although the gear shifter is now directly over the side stand lever which makes it a real pain to wiggle the side stand down. Am sure a little more adjustment or minor side stand mods may be in order. Also as the whole assembly is moved back, it does means the pillion foot rest hangers can interfere with your heels (at least for those of us with large feet) if like me you slide your feet back when riding... photos will follow :-)

Anybody wanna sell their BUG-EYES SPEED TRIPLE?? Preferably not black ... I tried very hard to fall in love with the new one but I just couldn't ..... :(

I got a couple of potential buyers for my Street Triple out of a sudden and I haven't even got a replacement bike yet. The Ducati that I wanted has been sold to someone else ......... :(

I,ve booked up for a trip to the MotoGP at Sepang in October. Will go for the weekend, not on the bike tho.

Taking my wife, youngest daughter (4) and will meet my brother and his mate over from England there. Staying at the Concorde Inn at Sepang.

Air Asia tickets were $16 return!!

Anyone else going?

I eventually found my way to the devils bends on a long detour on the way to the job this morning, about 5.30 a.m.

I came across loads of wildlife in the road ( a couple of herds of cyclists, a few intrustions of joggers ) so it was a gentle cruise without drama. (Not sure what the collective nouns are for the above but these will do).

That road would be great if it could be closed to anything other than bikes, for what on the Isle Of Man is called, Mad Sunday.

Isn't this an old race circuit anyway?

It could join the greats along with the South Bueno Vista Road Hill Climb Club.

I used to go there every other weekend during early hours as well! That was when I just got my beautiful green bike ... I wish that road could be longer ...

Others think for themselves.

They go their own way.

There are a few of such short trails around. I do this quite often on weekday nites just a short blast before i go back home..

Another one which maybe a bit far is neo tiew. Trail is longer and includes both high speed sweepers and slow hairpins, i just did one run with my new toy and it was awesome... was hitting 170 at some stretch..
