I see that your box above the end can is very near near to your end can. Won't the box hit the end can? Just curious

Just want to clarify, what do you mean by hitting the end can?

The end can still has another 1 inch clearance with the box mounted. Went up to severals trips and back with no issues.

I have 2 e21 side boxes on my ver s. whenever i go over humps, I will feel something hit at the rear of my bike. It will always go "PIAK" when i cross humps.

So what I do now is I lift my butt of the seat when I cross humps. I do not have this problem when I do not have a pillion.

I don't know if my guess is right, I feel that it is my box hitting the end can.

Maybe you can provide a different view. I hope to solve this problem.

Thanks

Don't think it's the end can rubbing against the box. Cos the only that has the lateral movement is the swing arm and not the end can.

I think it's your suspension as what PaLmER suggested. Maybe you can get another person to help you. Put the bike upright get the other person to hold the handle bar, while you goes to the tailend try to give your tailend a hard push and see how you bike's lateral movement looks like. If it's jumping up and down furiously then your suspension maybe be goner. If it's just pop up slow and steady then it's time to adjust your spring to a high setting.

If you want to have a comfortable ride then change to a after market suspension. Refer to the link below for more information.

I had the wingrack and exhaust lowered so the pillion will be comfortable.

Didn't like the saddle bag cos not too secure and not fully water proof. Here's mine before I fitted the hard panniers. Can't put heavy stuffs like tool kit and spares. As you can see the passenger foot peg it's way too close for the pillion to step.

I guess this bags does not suit superfour....maybe should get those more to triangle type or arrow ones...agreed that these bags are not safe compared to the hard ones...

Hope you get it sorted cos it's very dangerous riding with faulty suspension.

Thanks, now contemplating whether to rebuild or get new ones. :cheeky:

I had also tried that but mounting on the bike is a pain you need to really plan how to do it for best of both world especially if you have a pillion on board. If you got no pillion that is the best option in my opinion.
