Bus drivers

u know those SBS or TIBS big buses. had few encounters few time during the past month. i'm riding slow about 50-55km/h, those bus drivers very 'kan chiong', either keep chasing me fr behind or overtake me. he overtake is all right, but later he wanna crush me because nearing bus stop, or overtake n stop in front of me.

 

i mean wtf, they're nearing bus stop n anticipated to stop, still do such things, i mean so what they're public transport n we have to give way to them. there're a bunch of drivers that r inconsiderate, that they think they're doing a public service n big vehicle that they're 'big boss' on the road.

I disagree.... my point is why are you riding so slow and why are you in the bus lane?? you are hogging the rd and fella commuters that are in the bus. Bus drivers have timing to meet. If they are late and happent o encounter you who happily ride ard 50 or 55 of course overtake you!! and u are making his life difficult becos most problably at the next bus styp u would have overtake hime back.

 

Bus need big turning radius... many times it is rider fault because they dun ride and stop in their lane... get it??

no disrespect to the TS but imagine all the ppl waiting for the bus.

they even more kan chiong.

then they'll complain why the bus so slow and never on time.

bus drivers try their best to be on time but sometimes the traffic is not on their side.

so the best advise is to keep clear of bus lanes and if there's buses

behind you on the 1st lane, just do a safe lane change to the second one.

bus lane super dangerous. Usually during peak hour, bus drivers more kan chiong. So better not to ride in the bus lane. Ride on the fastest lane XD

bros, u all misunderstood, if i'm in bus lane

1) they usually hv bus bay, usually the situation is they overtake n rest in their bay, i won't be stopping

2) if the bay is full, i won't be in their lane, i would be cutting out of the left, bus are coming out, i'm not that stupid to be sandwitched.

3) in bus lane, usually i'm the one overtaking, not them, as usually the road is packed. y would u need a bus lane on a clear road.

 

the situation i described is more towards a vehicle overtaking and stopping/braking in front of you. pls rem that their speed limit is 60km/h. 50-55km/h is my slow speed, i've been overtaken @ 60+km/h.

 

situation usually around woodlands road, certain stretch is clear. now u know y always that part kenna accident, lorries, buses, trucks, cars, bikes, all can be 'rojaked' just because of some idiot drivers.

 

just imagine, u're about 300m fr bus stop, this bus speeding fr behind u, about 200m overtake, then realise he hv to stop in 150m, and he start squeeze u...

another incident.

 

i'm following this tree tunnel, in front got a bus, the bus stops @ bus stop, tree tunnel stop behind. suddenly there's a tibs bus out of nowhere came from the right lane, cutting in n tap his horn at me. at that time, there's still about 1 car's length btw me and the tunnel, i'm thinking this bus driver crazy one, decided to turn out n not wait in front of him, at 1st, he's blocking my rear view, i decided to check again when i'm a bit out, my susprise, there's a car behind him. i quickly e-brake.

 

after we all move off, that crazy bus behind me turn to right lane n overtake the 1st bus!

i always encounter this over at the bus stop after the ext from PIE to stevens rd.. near the CC.. the bus from the bustop will just make its way to the most extreme right lane without due care.. all just because i was riding a bike... if I were to video them.. I think I would have a collection of them already...

Guess the bus driver is probably late and behind schedule.

 

My opinion would be you are riding too slow. no one uses that kind of speed anymore other than those who just got licence. if you riding 2b bike, worse still. The speedometer is inacurate. You probably see 50km/h when your actual speed is slower. Imagine the bus driver following behind see ur speed only 47-48km/h, he should be damn pissed off. it's either he follow behind you and watch you dragging his time or overtake you to tell you that you are slow. Give and take lar, ride faster and use the middle lane. 60-70km/h should ease your problem.

Buses are long, so they have to turn out more to clear the left rear tyre from hitting the curb.

Anyways i was almost hit by bus turning out from bus lane to my lane... horned the driver he stop awhile,after that continue to change to my lane horned somemore he heck care totally squeeze to my lane,i was forced to go to the right lane, i was realli damn pissed i complained to SBS haha

mind u, normal road not stated is 60km/h, following law, 50+ is within speed limit. 40-50 is the usual speed for buses for their limit also 60km/h. the road i'm travelling is only 2 lane, i'm not risking my points by travelling 70km/h. besides i'm following behind 2 big vehicle, in what sense can u force a vehicle out of the left lane from the right.
