remember to also check out the Partners Wanted section... maybe you can find other beginners around your place to rally with and do drills together.

feel free to join us at the Wednesday games, we're all very friendly people. start with the beginners and then cross over to club nights after making sufficient progress... doesn't it sound good?

hi tennis kakis

URL for Tennis Friendz Network (Singapore) is changed to http://tfntennis.com/smf/

Once there, you will need to register for an account (free, something like Hotmail/Yahoo account) to be able to view and post/book tennis sessions.

Most if not all the posts/information are at the Forum: http://tfntennis.com/smf/index.php?action=forum

There’re lots of info inside, e.g. organized games, tennis tips, racket reviews, buy/sell, etc.

Some $$ issues:

* Web membership is free, TFN club membership subscription is $25 per year, a 1-time $5 application fee applies. To join the activities, web membership is sufficient.

* But then why pay? For TFN Club Night & Beginners Night, club members pay $6, guests/web member pays $10 per session. If plan to play regularly, there should be savings as members save $4 per session. Play 10 times, savings > membership fees. Otherwise, just pay as and when playing.

* Some games are organized using condo courts, see the “Regular Tennis Session” tread. e.g. every Tues at Seasons Park Condo (near YCK MRT). Thus courts are basically free but the players usually split the costs of the balls. Some very nice organizers may sponsor the balls or use the Club Night “leftovers”. Note that some games have the preferred players’ ITN level specified, so that good/beginner players won’t get frustrated/embarrassed.

* Some activities may involve rental of courts and/or equipments where participants share the costs. E.g. rental of courts, ball machine, etc.

What is ITN?

happy playing :cheeky:

Can let me know where I can buy tennis shorts that dont come with 'inner garments'? I found those that come with it, very hot for our Spore weather. Incresingly more shorts are sold in this form.
