Hi,i know of a person who is selling of his RD500.Everything original with tip top condition.He has the 3 piped Honda NS400R which u are looking for too>??But what do u plan on doing with these vintage bikes?

Thanks for responding. I can't afford both ( if both bikes were up for sale that is ), I want to use the RD500 as a fairly regular mode of transport. I know the fuel consumption is high but this is only to be expected right.

 

No racing the bike or anything like that if that's what you're thinking. This classic is 20 years or older by now and parts will be hard to find ......

 

The fact that he has the NS400R as well is very interesting as many people say these bikes no longer exist, as none have been seen on Singapore roads in years. I have been looking everywhere and asking all the bike shops, so far no luck.

 

How can I contact the owner please? Would love to see the bikes in the flesh, or so to speak.

 

Do you ride a 2-stroke? 4-stroke?

Hi guys, Happi new yr.. ride safe...

 

Guys, wanna ask. Few days ago, i was riding my S110. A taxi stop next to me. The uncle ask mi why i didnt ON my head lights. in fact I did. But think my bike is damn super old, or bulb spoilt, or simply the charging is not enough?

 

Intending to change to CDI.

Is it possible? Can it be done? Will my bike's lights be brighter?

 

I need some feedback. thanks.

Heyyaa all think we shld stick @ the kfc for time being ... coz kinda a bit to late to inform every1 at the very last mins..... bt again kfc is a great place tho. coz the place kinda bright enuf for us to check out on others bike unlike other place ... and then from there if we wana go other place , we can convoy and that cools seeing all the bike move in a group .any comments>

there are indeed NS400 during the late eighties. one of my old neighbourhood boys has it. this bike was rare at that time and not to mention now.

there's one Walterwolf 400 last seen a few months back in Racewerk bt merah. this bike is being laid up and the mech says there's no plans for her to be restored. there is also another one ridden by the mech. very nicely modded but looked doesn't seem to be well taken care of.

Hi.

 

Your contacts with the bulb and the bulb holder maybe rusty boy. Try using sand paper to sand away the rust first before you spend unnecessary $$ boy or spray some Wd40. Or old wire harness maybe the problem, old wire will have resistance. Never heard before can change into CDI. Will it drain your power supply as you are running a 6V battery only. Is about time you change a new "wire harness".

Thanks to all of u who have responded. At least there is still some hope for me. But I may be aiming too high. What about the smaller RD350 YPVS, not the LC Tong but the Power Valve type with the headlight fairing. Should be FB, FC or FD plate range. I will be happy with that, if I can find one that is. Any leads with this bike guys???????

I was told by a friend that a local magazine, Motor Culture Asia , is looking to contact vintage/classic/retro bike owners. The idea is to preview or feature at least one old bike in every issue of the magazine. So far, the magazine does not feature old bikes at all.

 

If any of you are keen to share your bike with the rest of the biking community (that still respect older bikes), please feel free to contact the editor at [email protected] His name is Kwok Wai.

 

There are many old bikes out there and it would be nice to see some of you come forward. All those CB175's, 200's, 350's, 550's...... even 750 Four's...... CD185's...... you guys out there??

 

What about the Yamaha Chapy, Suzuki RV125.......classic Vespa.... the list is endless.
