Hi guys, i went on UM on friday to inquire abt the 200cc.

 

I was quoted 6,053. The sales said its a package.

As i am a new license holder, total he quoted me abt 7K plus for the bike to be OTR. I wonder if that is the correct price? Am i getting chop?

 

Also he told me if i wan the box will be another 180.. It's Zeus box btw...

 

i paid 7k+ incl insurance, incl cheapass chinabrand box, givi rack for a hundred.

P-plate for $13 is abt there. Depends on which type you bought. Nowadays P-plate can range from 8 bucks to 20+ bucks. So many different types to choose from.

 

box and rack also about there. rack + installation is already $80. of course it might be cheaper if you took it elsewhere to install. but i have no complaints with mine.

 

my brother on the other hand took his spark elsewhere to install box, on the way home.. the box drop on the road.. but at least the shop let him exchange for new one.

i heard that theres a china-brand box that leaks water into the box when rains. also traps moisture and creates condensation in the morning. is yours like that pokvin?

nope it seems of satisfactory quality; not obviously good like givi or zeus, but seems to be functional. easy to break into though im sure i could figure out how in five minutes

For pulsar200, when the engine dies off. remember to off and on the key before you restart the engine. if not, the speedometer backlight doesn't come on (although the speedo is still functional). BUT when the speedo backlight does not come on, i heard that the rear light also will not be lit. then TP will want to make friends with you le..

BTW, i not sure for P200 but for P180, when the engine die off, and less than 5 second, we restart the engine, Digital meter have no back light, Pilot Lamp affected also. I will go take note of the rear.

 

IMHO, there is no need to turn off and on ur key. Count 5-10 second than u restart the engine using electric start. it shld work.

hmm could it be the pilot light and not the rear? i'm not sure on this also as I heard this from the mechanic Ah Wai. He said light from the back, dunno which one

 

i'll try the 5-10 wait nxt time. mine dies off once in a while now, reason is that when I kick to neutral and the neutral gear light is green, the gear is still not neutral and will die when i release clutch

depends on your luck Miracle.

 

mine had to sand a bit on rear drum brake. was screeching a little.

also ensure that you start the engine for a while before you move off, so you can check if there are any oil leaks. mine had a nut loose and was spewing bits of hot hot engine oil on my uncovered legs..

Hmm.. got a white haired guy quoted me this price too. But i was looking at a Givi box instead.. so most likely i will be bringing it to other place to fix..

If i were to lower the suspension.. isnt it gona affect the performance? I mean as in not so stable..

actually not just the best bike for 2b. for all classes.. unless u kena toto and upgrade to fz1k then i got nothing to say.. lol

 

fz150 is interesting. looks sleeker, but fuel injection might have problem with response or something like that. forget what was the issue already. FC not that impressive also. about 33km/L i read. a bit on the loud side also
