To prevent over excessive oil in the box ... do note when you change during eo intervals .

1: spare some time longer to have more used eo flow or drip out

2: before you close the plug, give a couple of kick start! .. you'll be surprised to see more left over eo flow out.

3: open your air box and clean your airfilter

4: do check the drain hose if you can

5: my option lah .. DIY!!! the crackcase breather ...bypass with small air breather filter like mine ..... hahahahaha

bro, how to do point #2 ? need to start the engine or just step on the kick start a few times without starting the engine?

hmmmm ... I'm not sure of your open port manual but normally open port or any AF with wire filament,

it's NOT encourage to use air gun to blow cos the high pressure can spoilt the wire filament!

For fabric AF using AF oil on the outside layer is to protec not only the material and the wire but it's function is also to filter better to have more cleaner air into the engine!

I've seen a a rider UG2 pulsar not using any air filter before ... said lazy to clean the air filter .. sound good .. engine more power .. !!@@?? ...

then one day I saw his bike at UM undergo major overhauling with lots of problematic engine failure!! ..

anyway who am I lah ... his bike what .. right? ....... hehehehe

To all ... do take care of your ride and ride safe! .................. cheers!

oh is it... herm must check out my condition of my air filter... herm...

Last time my bike eo level used to reduce automatically, so I used to top up on my own. Another reason could be that last time during EO change the mechanic didnt wait untill old EO drain out completely. So some EO might have been remaining in it :(

it explains ur drop of eo; ur eo spill onto ur filter.

even if u didnt drain out eo completely, it shouldnt spill to ur filter, unless u turn ur bike upside down.

try get it fixed asap, its not healthy for ur bike, the spillage cause ur bike unable to breath properly. unless u prefer to safe cost n clean up the spill regularly. o_O

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

start ur engine, slowly rev a bit for a while then kill engine, u'll see more oil flowing out.

take care to plug back the cap when u do this, cos air will be force out, causing spill like a jet.

Hmm.. So to fix this it might will require opening the engine? So almost like a top overhaul? How much do you think it will cost?

not sure, depend where it spill from.

if from engine, prob need overhaul, cos ur piston might be damage

if small case like just the valve leak, replace the seal or something

cost i'm not sure, cos never had this problem

start the engine without EO inside? wouldn't it damage the engine?

Don't panic lah bro ... just observe every 2,500km of the AF..

If less km or every 2500km .. it looks totally dirty and oily .. then maybe you need to bring the bike for further check up.

But if every 2500km there's a small amout of oil traces and dirt .. just clean the AF and the box as like I said it's .. NORMAL!! ...

reason cos by the Blow-By Gas in the engine chamber !! ..

Your engine will 'EXPLODE' and suffered heavy leakage if there is no Blow-by gas escape to the airbox!! ... hahaha ..

reasons too why the airbox have drain hose and plug!! ... cheers!

just like nose bleed, could be minor, could be fatal, depend where the bleed is from.

i dont know how long he travelled to discover this problem, but from the pic it's leaking like that, quite scarry. also his mention of eo level dropping, it's indication of leakage.

Ok thanks guys, I will just change my air filter for now.

My bike's performance is still top notch. I can cruise at 100-110 km/hr and FC about 45 km/Ltr. Pickup is also good enough even though smaller rear sprocket. So I will just monitor the air filter closely and then update you.

told by uncle mj, i think, no, u wont spoilt it, eo is just to lubricate n disperse heat. by using this method, u're actually spinning out the oil that's in the gears.

it's not like asking u to ride 1 round without eo.

ok 10k seems reasonable. seems like if u always go on high speed, it will happen too.

as for mine, although older, never had a drop of oil. :cheeky:

oh yea, the jacket. iirc, alvin also want. perhaps can go down together n mass buy. :D only rain jacket comes with pants. the mesh is jacket only. padding can fit the rain or mesh. i think each ard $60, so padding + jacket ard $120.

i dont have the name card with me now, it's at home.

unfortunately regina dont have black, i enquired last time. but i dont know if thier new stocks will have black or not.
