Park my bike as usual behind the cc carpark for my class. Recently this carpark has behome a hot spot for nearby resident to park there for FOC and funny things, this carpark actually no lots for motorcycles. So about 6 lots for cars being used by bikes for FOC.

Like said .. parked as normal but this time round looking at the rows of bikes parked there .. somehow makes me worries but what to do no choice.. it's the carpark available since non staffs are not allowed to park in the CC premises lots.

Then... my fear and worries came to reality ... the moment I see my bike park differently from how I parked earlier I know something is not right ...

my bike is on side stand which is supposed to be on main stand when I parked.

1 kupchai parked on side stand so close on my bike right side almost leaning on the side right

on left side, 1 gillera leaning 45 degrees angle on a S4 i think ...

slowly walked around my bike and notice fuel smell quite strong ..

since the cp was darked ... yeah no lights have to depends on streets lights!!

I slowly moved the kupchai to the side although it's handle lock. For the gillera .. I can't do much .. just let it be!

Checking slowly all around .. cofirmed my bike suffered a fall too!!

Damaged:

Reflective Stickers on my right box teared... not too bad

Reflective stickers on my left box teared too... not to bad either

but sadly

my Left side Rear box suffered bruises and quite a deep cut!!!

Sad lah but quite relief as my bike .. ( as my faith saying "from God we came, from God we return") .. once against my bike was safe by my ugly looking side rack/boxes and CRASH BAR!!!

no other parts suffered any damaged beside my crash bar and of cos my rear box!!

Feel angry yes, feel stupid also yes ....

now need to sleep to relax my mind and soul ... and will update with pictures tomorrow !!

Good nite and morale of the stories ...

Never take things for granted ... be prepared mentally and physically for any unexpected things to happens!!!

Sleep well and be prepared what for tomorrow .... Cheers!

Got a feeling its a lady driver... a F type one... want space but scared this and that...

Sian just had a near accident this morning. Was on the long winding filter road onto BKE and came into contact with a car at my right blindspot when road was winding left. Don't know why he/she come so close to me when I was in lane. Must be give him/her too much space. Next time I'll ride squarely in the lane.

Quickly moved away from the car and was wobbling for damn long before I managed to get the bike under control. By then can't see the car anymore so I just carried on.

Can that person do something funny to claim from me? I'm assuming he/she is at a disadvantage for claims cos the contact occurred when the car was behind me at my blindspot.

as long as u dun hit any vehicle, or had an accident, they cant claim u. unless very rare case. pracitcally, we dun often check our blind spots. it is gd practice to do so.

so the car did touch your bike?

anyway the important thing is that you are safe and sound

ride safe

riding smack in the middle of the lane sometimes is good practice

like when negotiating a bend...

to make ourselves more visible...

f class woman driver...

How d heck did she even went into the bike parking lot?? Dis is so unlogical. My logic circuit cant accept dis. Since that topic is about woman drivers. I hav to admit, most woman drivers whether young or old, they are more prone to carelessness. Im not d only one who had this thought. We hav experience it on d roads. I wonder wat is going on in their minds….. btw, ‘F class’? huhu.

I always ride square in the centre. No chance for cars to squeeze. Some drivers are in a rush and will cut in if they have a chance. Today on my way to work, heading from PIE to KPE/ECP, kept slightly to the left cos I dun like to ride over the white arrow markings, two cars were speeding past and cut right into my lane barely squeezing past the taxi on my right. Scary.

Ride safe.

alamak bro .. why need to go workshop just to change the spark plugs? ... did the mech there read the old plug for you and explain about the new plug? .. lol

hehehe if you meet up with us at amk ave 10 (since you stayed at ave5) .. the $7 each .. I will change the plugs for you with G Power CR8EGP !! .. $6 x 2 for the plug and $2 labour for teh tarik and prata!!! ...

like arthur stated .. we dragons don't eat sheeps one .. we dragons feed with prata and teh tarik will do ... hehehehehe

anyway .. no worries lah .. your old stock plug champion RG4HC or bosch UR3DC is basically have the same heat range as your new conventional plug ngk CR9E ..

it's just 1 step colder plug than what we used here.. ngk G Power CR8EGP!! hehehe

it's ok since you like to run 100kmph and usually on expressway .... hahaha

http://www.ngk.com/glossaryImages/93.jpg

hmmm if AB have ngk CR9EGP ... for sure I will use that for my left spark plug !! .. heheheh

or maybe I should opt back to my ngk Iridium CR9EIX which AB also have that !! ... kakakakaka

nevertheless .. what ever you opt for your spark plug .. do have some time to check and clean every 2500km and change every 10000km! ...

Like the old bird mech Dan gave a hint ....

"As the engine ages and more oil gets past the rings a hotter plug may be in order.

If you ride at low speeds all the time a hotter plug will keep the plugs from fouling.

If high speeds are your thing, a cooler plug may be just the ticket.

Don't be afraid to pull that plug out and give 'er a read! "

"They should look a light chocolate brown in color (good) .

If , black and sooty the engine is running too rich in the fuel departement or too cold of spark plug.

If black and shiny (oily) they are oil fouled.

If they are whitish you are running too lean a fuel mixture and/or wrong ignition timing or too hot of spark plug.

When you see this, your engine is about to blow up!!!"

...... dan's motorcycle

http://www.ngk.com/characteristicImages/43.jpg

Cheers!

Thanks MJ bro, yeah if they had CR9EGP I would have opted for that. But CR8EGP, I am a bit scared as its a hotter plug. And I read that a colder than normal plug will do less damage compared to a hotter than normal plug. Since I am still a newbie in terms of reading the plug and tuning the Carb etc. I thought better to stick to stock heat rating plugs, I just cant afford a breakdown on the expressway while going to office. Hehehe.

But its wierd that most bike shops here and in JB have 8 heat rating. 9 rating is very rare, may be only for Class 2A bikes. In India also 9 rating is only used in Pulsar, most other bikes use 7/8 rating.

Regarding the reading of the plug, I believe its the colour of the center electrode and the surrounding insulator condition that matters right? In my previous plug the whitish colour was on the side electrode. The center electrode is so small cant read it so clearly :faint:

Someone told me that riders are very impatient. I should give dat someone a bullet in d head if I could. Its practical for us riders to squeeze. more than 90% riders squeeze here. Some of the drivers understands us and some don’t. well, whatever.

hahaha .. 8 you have already concerned!!! ???? .... did you know that previously at UM, they used ngk cpr6 for pulsar? .. lol

No worries lah .. 8 and 9 is still in the mid range of hot and cold plug. So meaning if happens there's a heavy traffic jam like at JB checkpoint or if happens you got the chance to do escort President during NP .. heheheh .. your 8 or 9 plugs will not harm your bike!!!

And if you are late for meeting or things like that .. and you want to run your bike like lightning .. the 8 or 9 still will do no harm to your bike!! ... kekekeke

About your beliefs on the color is most matter ... partly yes and no!!

color indicates your AFR is good and ok but in terms of overall combustion and performance of the engine differs when you used a better spark plug and normal spark plug!!!

Now the harder stuff. A spark plug does not make your engine run hotter or colder. The terms hot or cold refer to the temperature of the tip of the spark plug itself. The plug must keep a temperature of, between 752 and 1652 degrees Fahrenheit. If it gets too hot it can fire off the air/fuel mixture at the wrong time. This can cause detonation and/or pinging which will put a hole in your piston... not good. If it gets too cold it will not burn off the carbon and fuel deposits on it's tip and the plug will foul out (stop working) not good either.

The heat range of a spark plug is controled by the length of the center electrode. A longer one is hotter because it takes longer for the heat to flow through it to the cylinder head. As you might think the cooler plug has a short center electrode

.. dan's motorcycle

http://www.dansmc.com/plugshotcold.gif

There's alot of debates, discussion and confusion regards to spark plug material ... reasons I said partly yes and partly no to your beliefs!...

Cheers!!

If you have bought a used bike, better change the spark plugs, Air Filter and Engine Oil in the beginning itself. You never know how long ago the previous owner had changed it.
