Hi,

I m considering buy pulsar... could anyone advice me on the difference between 180 & 200 FC & parts availability?

Thanks!

Thx for de reply... I getting new one.. erm... Ytd UM told me they only left last P200.. i m now considering to buy it soon b4 it is sold out... but slightly worry abt its parts availability since it is OFP.. I know P180 FC is gd, but got mix comment abt the FC of P200... Any P200 owner can share their avg FC?

Thx once again.. =)

Yup! Quite a friendly sale person.. Anyway.. They say warrant is only 1 yr or 10000km.. Is everyone de same? Change eo.for 1st 3 service labor change free just nid pay eo..

get that P200 bike !!! ... it's WORTH!!

no need to compare the FC .. it's still better than other bike

P200 and P180UG4 .. the most thing you wanna want to compare is the exhaust!! .. P180 get rusty easily becos of the material!! ..

that's all!! ... kekekeke

you need luck and also an attitude to have your bike serve you well.

for the signal auto cancel, the switch is located just behind the number plate metal under your head fairing...

for the fuel, learn how to gauge without seeing the bars...

then you will be more prepared...

so i just have to on it myself?

Posted
The fuel gauge is not precise on our bikes. It will show full tank for the first 250-300km then drop mid way or below. It will drop again the next 100 or 200km. Sometimes it drops fast but you still have lots of mileage to do.

A good indicator is the red light on your dashboard. When it lights up, note the mileage and calculate how

Many kms you can do before the tank is empty (use one of the two tripmeters).

Don't worry, when the tank empties you feel it even when riding: the bike feels like it's getting out of air, it chokes a bit and will not respond if you open the throttle to accelerate. It will slow down : it's time to stop and turn the tank lever to the RESERVE position. Your reserve is about 2L so depending on your FC, it should give you 60 to 100km to ride.

After a couple of tanks monitoring how the fuel gauge and red light are reacting to the distance and petrol you know you have, you will be able to translate pretty accurately what the gauge is saying.

Inaccurate gauge does not mean it's spoilt or needs to be changed. If it doesn't work at all then yeah, have it checked. But if it's indicating changes , just not accurately, then that's "normal" on Pulsars.

For the auto cancel, could be that it's just not fixed properly. If the sensor is not aligned correctly between the forks it doesn't transmit and you might think it's broken when really you just need to adjust it. If you know where it is then you can do it yourself, if not, just bring the bike to UM and watch them do it - they will change it if indeed its broken.

thanks so much! anyway i have touched up on the rust on my tank. thanks for advice :D

Hmmm. I dun mind doing myself la. Hehe. Just that i wanna see see first. Cos my friend got hold of a supplier for the protec and other stuff. Not much cheaper than get from alvin. Still will cost me around 140 bucks sgd. So see see worth the money or not first. Hehe

Thanks bro. But I think I will spray this baby after I sort out the engine.

Need to up sprocket size and check the air filters and air flow. Seem like a choke somewhere.

After that is done, I will send this baby in for respray. Yellow it will be.

Then when that is done, I gonna spray my X9 also. Cannot tahan the gold color.

Called 219 to check if they had tank bras for Vara and they said no. They had however a cloth decal that can wrap tank. Guess the price quoted??

S$180.00 ......

Welcome. Come join us later for our meet up tonight. I am sure the senior members would be able to advise you.

Didn't Chris pass you a manual if you bought it new from them? The manual should have the servicing timetable inside.

Congrates bro ... no worries follow the manual as a guideline .. eventually you will experience along the way

if you want more details ... just wait for Oren to reply to you ... she will explain in details

as for now ... just do your running in as in your manual stated .. you will enjoy the best of pulsar FC!! ...

one more thing ... since your bike is new, don't forget to install the crash bar!! ... for stock tyres if you don't want to change just ride with care during wet day or any wet surface ESPECIALLY in the mscp. You don't like the look of any scratch on your new paint .... hehehehe

pls do list down you name on our SBT keeps alive!!

cheers!
