me n wavy was thinking abt CAI last night during d mtup. we were thinking if theres a device like a 'mini-aircon' dat could fit under our seat so dat theres CAI circulation all d time. the bike will maintain a smooth journey dat way i think. hehehe can sell this idea to india n make big bucks! ..dream on....

$3 at UM is it workmanship?? and i think UM using is normal blub type only..

 

as LED can choose color, brighter and use less current.

 

i think $14 are 2 or 4 led in a T10.. if u wan jus for pole light jus get one LED wan.. ard $5~8 a pair.

 

Yes, the $3 is only for workmanship and they only use normal bulbs. However, if you provide the LED they'll be more than happy to install it for you so as long as you pay for labour!

 

Thanks to totalpet for the heads up on what kinda bulbs for the stuff inside the pole lights n meter!

 

And thanks for WJ for the instructions on how to painlessly dissemble and change the lights!

on another note, anyone interested in my carbon fibre stickered skeleton shrouds? i do up everything already then look at the rest of the bike scratch head, cannot continue the theme because its red. they would look so awesome on a black pulsar though. i can design the rest of the bike for you too. anyone interested pm me!

Meter, i used the 360 Degrees SMD 6 LED T10 white, cuz i figured if the bulb in 1 loc just under the meter face, if use one of the unidirectional LEDs, might not get enough light at other parts of the meter.

 

My pole using the 12LED one, very freaking power.

 

Shiok only ah, must whack hard hard, so LED will glow bright bright, +1HP loh. ahaha.

i just had my seats re-wrapped at Eugene Saddlery. I must commend his worksmanship and quality. He will spend the extra 5 minutes removing and restapling that tiny crease when found. Quality of the new wrap was excellent, its waterproof and thicker than the stock wrap. Stock wrap creases when pressure is applied, and from naked eye can tell the quality is not that ideal.

 

I went to 2 other shops for quotes before approaching Eugene. Since online comments stated his slightly expensive worksmanship to compensate for quality. First shop (a few streets before Eugene) quoted $35. Second shop was beside LAB, quoted $30+++ but bad attitude man.. i'm never going back there. The second carrot-shops said 2 pieces (p200 is 2 piece seat) so charge more expensive.

 

However, when i went to Eugene, his quote was the cheapest... cos i realise he is an old friend... heehee.

 

Anyhow i recommend that pulsar bros go to Eugene for re-wrap if you require one He will also advise you on proper maintenance (armorall is bad!) and suitable materials for cat infested areas.

Monoshock looks really good on UG3 what with the sharp tail light. Wonder if there's any place in SG we can do that and how much it would set us back by. Maybe UM could even offer this as an optional upgrade for new buyers. Sure to entice more pulsar riders.

eh dumb question ah, but anyone pump 98shell before find the engine damn rough after that? was using esso5000 but price drop yest, so pump 98 for fun. now, bloody hell, machiam power loss a little and damned rough/noisy at high RPM, more vibration at low RPM. either that or my brain got problem liao.

 

i use caltex 95 leh, got 1 time nearly no petrol then i try esso5000 then my bike sound weird think is the bike use to the petrol ba. then my friend tell me wat caltex petrol got techron can help to clean engine ar, dun know la i only pump which petrol is cheaper to me. Caltex i got extra 5% on top of the 5%, so i having 10%. Think got cheaper 1 u need to go JB pump. Can ask wavy or others loh they got go jb pump petrol 1.

actually i thought of it too. was thinking of using those cpu fan or laptop cooler. but dont know where to place it, where to tap the wire to and the voltage all these stuffs.

BUT u muz ensure that the hot air do not get sux in...

for best results i suggest modification to the airboc to ensure total RAM air intake.
