My UG3 180 is about 2.5years old now, and its starting to feel alot older. The top speed is barely 100km/y; i havent put on weight. My front and rear brakes which i changed about 3 months ago feels like its already worn out; and my cornering dosen't feel safe. Sighz, not sure what to tell UM mechs.

Wah serious? Hmmmm, Anyone else facing this problem?... Quite worrying to hear that Pulsar can only last 2.5years before getting worn out..

Went down to UM today.. Quoted me $5.3k for the Pulsar 200..

Hi guys,

 

on my way to work today met w my first major accident. lucky didnt get too badly injured... ( just a cut on my leg n painful blue black on my leg and arms...

 

Was along ECP service road,,.. towards town, heavy jam so i was overtaking a bus along the way when the bus driver signaled to a car to come out. allowing the car turning right out of the car park. both of us cld see each other n crashed almost head on- i towards town she turning right out of car park towards airport..

 

next came my surprise....

 

I sat on the road side... but NO one came to help even thou traffic was at a stand still as we were blocking both lanes now...

2 mins later.. den the lady driver came out of the car... ( guess she was in shock )

 

till now... all Honks were sounding but still no one came to assist..

 

i had to stand up... shift my bike, direct the lady driver to go back into the parking lot.. and direct traffic to get moving again !!!!!

 

all this while I the injured victim...

 

i was ready to settle out of claims and insurence..

 

lucky for me a coach driver came forward to assist with the way to claim..He said it was the ladys fault ( even thou i think im partly at fault )

i agreed to just let her pay my damage about $280. and she sent me to the doc's she waited for me and paid my medical...

Bike - Tire - $85 bt39 ,

fork straightening - $40,

Signal lights - $30 1 pair ybr's

engin oil - $12

plus checking of bike ETc..

 

about $250 ++

Anyway, anyone ever install crash bar on their pulsar? does it look ugly? Lol... I have seen some bikes wth crashbars on the road... these crashbars are usually only at the front? what about the back? Do you guys think crashbars are useful?

i sold off my pulsar and got a bandit liao. but please dont outcast me.... you guys are the first group of biker friends i made. learnt quite a lot from you guys...

I installed crash bar at the front and side box on the back. It makes my bike look wider and bigger.

 

Hohoho... Just that my front wheel makes the bike look funny. The tire too skinny!!!

the fork oil need to be replace every 10,000km! nbz! even my ride dun need to change so early.

change fork oil is like change RXZ fork oil.

At the end of the fork is the drain nut. top up as usual from the top. what tools needed im not sure but i saw the mechanic doing for 1 bike.

gosh!! i went through 30000km without changing my fork oil!! anyone wanna change fork oil with me?? we try DIY ourselves. all i can think is to drain it out. and then top it up from the top. and of course, we need the right size of tools to dismantle the parts. anyone can sponsor?

 

anyway, they made it impossible to just buy the rear sprocket. and the irritating part is that when they changed my front sprocs, the mech took it out from an RXZ packaging which only means that they uses RXZ front sproc and BAJAJ rear sproc while using DID chain. how i wish i can just buy the rear sproc and bring it to JB to fix everything there.
