as mentioned before it's individual skills and way of riding...

 

for myself, who have stopped and just started riding again after 20 years, i've used the stock mrf for about 2 months...

 

twice on wet road, I can't stopped my bike in time when traffic lights sudden change to yellow.

 

the last incident along bt panjang ring road, my bike just skid and come to a stop right in the middle of a junction ... feeling paiseh but greatful cos cars on green light did not move as they saw my bike skidding all the way.

 

right after that incident, I decided to change my mrf to battlex at UM..

 

expensive a bit but my life is more valuable ....:thumb:

 

I don't say battlex can safe your life but nonetheless the tyres have better grip on wet surface...

 

But to be true ... whether it bridgestone, dunlop, michilin or wat ever tyres you use, its up to the skill and the way the rider ride the bike ...

Now i set myself to changing it within this month...

 

Anyway tmr morning will be my first solo journeyfrom admiralty to paya lebar ...i am sure its gonna be a hell of experience for a newbie rider like me...

 

Any pointers that they nvr told us in school that bros here can give?[:)

ride within your limit and always be observance to your surrounding. don't get pressure by others to speed up or lane split etc.

ya loh just got my salary then there goes my 280 haiz. That liquid at 1st i though is grease coz bery bery thick then in the end check it is the tank bracket leaking but bery bery slowly. Lan Lan have to change coz my gf scare also anything later happen. Jordan confirm ar we go 2A together...

 

guys, what do you all use to lub ur chains?

also the chain is fully cover how do i go abt to lub it?

 

I use maxima chain lube to lube my chain. Actually any chain lube will do the job. There is a cover that can be pull out from the chain guard and you can apply chain lube on your chain through that opening.

 

Of coz must park on main stand, while applying chain lube, turn your rear wheel at the same time. Another alternative taught by nemesis is to engage gear 1 and lube the chain.

 

or u can take out the cover.

 

Carefull when using first gear... If the tire touch the floor... it might push ur bike off the stand...

 

won't lah happened so many times to me haha.. it just stop very abruptly.. and may stall sometimes.. not strong to push off.. but strong enough to scare you :cheeky:

hi guys...Anyone here still using the stock mrf tires on the pulsar?...cos i experience slight skidding when doing turns and in filter lanes during wet conditions

 

I am not sure whether its the wet surface or the tires...i go very slow cos running in...quite scary man, so need ur experienced guys opinions...

 

I change my tire when i just bought from the shop, the uncle who sold me this bike got test ride for me and he told me it will not grip so i decide to change.

my bike having some "going to up lorry prob"...

 

jus now when i rode to compass pt after I stop I see my speedo all black colour came out as in all 888 appear...

 

after dat when wanna go back I turn my key to on, nth appear, cannot electric start oso. the bike looks as tho the key turned to off liddat!

 

after trying a few times i decided to try kickstart while the key to on, den the bike ignited. the rpm needle didnt go up n down, my trip meter reset and the idling volt was very high ( 14+V). the first thing to appear on the speedo was " cdi on the bottom left n 3.0 on the bottom right" no idea wad it meant...

 

i was still able to ride home after that...when i reach home off engine, i realized the rpm needle stops at ard 0.5k rpm -.- argh... electronic stuffs getting on my nerves...

 

anyone got advice to share??? thx

u stay admiralty ar, then u better careful coz i stay there also. Going up the highway is cramp and ave 12 here got alot of huge vehicle and some idiot driver who will cut lane like his road. After up the expressway, if slow follow behind car and use high beam (won't have effect if use low beam) coz morning use high beam other ppl can see u more. If normal u can follow other bike at the dotted line.

 

u wan me guide u along? i exit at lentor if not is amk. O ya i tml morning 8 will go work if u wan sms me 82988132

yes

check on the charging it cannot go above 12.5v, then take another relative "new" but used one to test. it goes to 13.1v

when change to new one when rev it charge till 13.6++

the bike is still able to ride.

BUT suggest u unplug the recitifier as it is melting

although the fuse broke the recitifier is still connected which will somehow melt the black stuff.

u dun wan to have fire on ur a$$...

 

btw when u unplug, u will lose all light and horn, and ur fuel gauge will not be working. but if u plug in u may risk a fire!

 

suggest u find time during lunch or wat go do it asap. very fast job.

mine got box, so the back tire always touch floor, when oil, i've to lift up the wheel, sien...

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

went for inspection weekend, fail 1st try, i forgot to take out the tail brake light i mod myself. was asked to take it out, so i just disconnect it, then ok. also found that head light fail, using stock. in the end still get the cert.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

u can try putting a helmet on ur petrol tank. will help to make ur front heavy so that ur rear tire will be up.

wat's e recommended tyres for our bike n wat's e damage like?

for p200, anyone tried using smaller tyre size like 110 or 100

Current P200 setup: Sinnob Sproc[15, 39], NGK platinum plug with spark booster, V3 racing coil, cheetah CDI[dual mode], broquet B2, DIY oiler, hazard light, DIY gnding, PE28[pj-38, mj-120], open pod filter

Something to add on for rectifier. Normally rectifier can last very long if battery is well maintain( water level). If dry cell have to change battery every 18 month (to be safe) to max. 2 year.

Why rectifier burnt/shorted because water level in battery not enough put too much stress on rectifier.

Shorted mean no voltage and battery will flat(battery will not spoil/damage).

Shorted(over voltage) battery will overcharge and spoil/damage.

Voltage should be not more than 13.5vDC.

yo finally got myself a P180 2006 year de... jus a query to check wif u guys.

how come the engine so hot 1 ah..after jus 10+km den also after shut down the bike. got smell de.. the rear brake also like buay jiat de.. i jus now cant stop in time infront of traffic light..lucky bo camera...

the gear changing also like bo feel de.. haha
