Yes, the new batch of UG3 and P200 have the latest fuel Float...

 

UM is able to change size 39 sprocket for UG 3 and P200 ONLY....

 

The previous post is UG 2 first Batch.... sprocket hole is 6

 

bro just to add .. mine is UG2.. duno whether first batch but its 6 hole sprocket. UM has 38 teeth for UG2 cos i just changed it today

 

 

Any bros respray their engine chassis/block b4? intend to DIY cos it looks pale already, any pointers?

Spare part from UM really expensive. Below are the few list I buy from them.

1. Diaphragm $25 ( dame very expensive only small rubber cup)- only UM have

NO CHOICE

2. Oil-ring and shaft/oil seal at gear shift side $5(can buy from outside as long same size)

Agreed.... but who going to fix for u ?

3. Friction pad/clutch- $8.5/pcs (total 6 pcs)- only UM have

Disagreed.... like what i said u can use NSR 150 part.. but onli UM know how to open and change...Unless the workshop u going have changed b4

4. Clutch pad(metal) - $6/pcs ( total 5 pcs no need change if UM said need to change ,not going to wear off) me never change - only UM have

5. Gasket at clutch side $9 ( have to change when open).- only UM have

No choice

6. Starter carbon $25 ( no need to change whole starter cost $145) - only UM have

No Choice

7. Spark plug $5/pcs (reasonable price)

Can get anywhere

 

All the part I buy but do it in JB, workmanship are better than those in UM.Those part can buy from outside I will not buy in UM( chop people like Robert head/Carrot)

1. Engine oil RM18( semi synthetic)

izzit 20/50 type ?

2. One set of sprocket with chain (RM50~100) depending on quality)

3. Tyre RM80~150 depending on brand and size

Depend on BRAND of tyre.... infact malaysia might be slightly ex or same as singapore... go source around first...

4. Light bulb RM3/pcs in the meter, headlight RM18(Fuji Japan better quality)

Too bad... Good luck to ur bike... our Bike is not using H4 type... is smiliar to H4 but not h4.. Long term problem might lead to magnetic coil spoil...

5. Rear/behind brake pad RM15

Agreed, RXZ parts... but need to modifty abit

6. Wash carb (RM15/RM18)- Better wash once a year same time can check diaphragm.

WHAT Happen if Diaphragm need to be change ??? issit it that u have to waste more of ur time at visting 2 workshop to get 1 thing done ?

 

Some other part from UM/JB forget the price. Hope this info will help many Pulsar owner not chop by any motor shop. Those want to know where the shop in JB can PM me.

Bro... no hard feeling... sometime what we do in JB might not be good... any time if there is an error... u have to spend more than u wish to save... Piece of advise.... DO NOT OPEN UR ENGINE AT JB.... etc Overhaul.....

So far no problem after change clutch friction pad. More torque/pick up power and shifting gear more smoother.

that true... but so far... within warranty period i have changed 5 time for the float.... now when i change to new one... so far no problem. but now i used to not look at the fuel gauge... i more base on my fuel switch....

Than ur UG2 have a engine kill switch ? if yes... than that is no problem... those without kill switch will face the problem...

 

Dun need to respray ur engine.... go mustafa and buy SC1 (if i not mistake.)

 

SC1 is not spray paint but type of silicon protection

 

spray at ur engine after wash or without wash.. it will look like new...

btw, those who wanna buy Maxima stuff, e.g. EO/SC1/Chain Wax/Guard/GT85, may i recommend racewerks. I don't work for them or profit from them or anything. just that i change my eo there. and i've found their EO is $1 cheaper than mustafa, for the semi-synth la. haha. 15bucks compared to 16 at mustafa, so i guess the rest of the stuff will be slightly cheaper as well. something to consider if you've going to UM to do any servicing. just drop in, buy n go.

the other guy( duno his name) told me smallest was 42.. then i not satisfied with the reply i approached christopher instead.. he told me theres size 38.

can confirm is 6 mounting holes for your rear sprocket? Cuz if it is, i chiong down to UM change everything liao.

yada...sometimes we've got to appreciate wat the machanics are doing. we've got to remind ourselves dat we're dealing with PULSAR parts here, not honda,not yamaha etc. in Singapore, PULSAR parts especialy the engine is very alienated compared to other parts. dats y sometimes even UM mechs are finding it a bit hard to figure out wats our bikes prob. n another thing, wat i heard is dat in India, most pple ride pulsar on ave spd of 50km/h or below. the parts ARE MEANT for dat performance. sure, some of us tend to replace stock parts with foreign parts just to wack the bike or etc. if we do dat, wear n tear will be much faster, n our money will be more painful to fork out. its NOT CHEAP. HELL!!

Bro, for pass week I joined AMK Ah Peh copi session so this is what they recommended and yes is with oil filter changed.

Its also stated in the Spec 3 manual. Some of them even go as low as 2.8L but of cause they use their own special EO la.

 

Sorry, I'm a newbie in S4 so still learning so bro anything wrong with 3.2L of EO?

Sometime RJ will turn white after sometime. Most of us are using Sperex VHT - very high temperature paint (here, they changes name to Simoniz).

You can go to SOH GUAN CHUAN @ Ubi Ave 3,#01-50, to get it cost around $20+. Follow the direction given on the spray can.
