The screw might be loose.. go to UM next week to fix it. Ask them not to silicon it but to use "whit tape". they no.

It will not be any problem. just ride safe.:thumb:

i think maybe white tape is not that suitable leh bro. in plumbing works, they go a few rounds around the thread then screw. for our headlight screw, u go a few rounds then the screw too fat liao.. rofl.. if go one round only the tape will tear probably.

think the best solution is.. change to super4 headlight :D wahahahah

actually, tried loctite yet? thread locker. blue's good. don't use red. blue will keep the screw locked in. red, will do that too, but gotta use heat to remove. blue can just unscrew using screwdriver in the future.

any hardware store should sell blue loctite threadlocker.

Smile! Tomorrow will be worse.

don't have to set it close to 2k rpm. its normal for new bike to always die off. mine was like that too. the reason main is because your engine is still running in, pistons not smooth against the wall of the engine yet, and also because you are using mineral engine oil, cheap but it is necessary to give your engine the proper lubrication and optimum running in process.

if you had used 10w40 engine oil, maybe your engine will die less due to the thinner oil, but that will reduce the friction between the pistons and wall to give you that extra tight seal. well thats wat i heard from the UM mech anyway. during your first change of engine oil, take a close look to see the shiny metal filings in the oil :)

running in is more about rpm limiting rather than speed limiting. but if you have to set a speed, then avoid going above 80km/h.

Oh yearh... since I've passed, I've always been wanting to ask this questions and as i know this forum has alot of different bike groups I decide to come here instead to ask to all those experienced OT... here is my case.

I've not been riding for my whole life after getting my 2b license and wanting to ride a bigger bike since I've got my 2A license... question is... should I be a noob and stick to smaller CC bikes or otherwise...?

I have no problems or whatsoever riding the school bikes the CB400.. i get on it pretty well after a few lessons... just to get a feel of the clutch, brake, throttle..

the 2nd case...

My divorced father intend to give me his Suzuki Bandit... and he told me on the phone that since I have no riding experience, I am quoted for a first party insurance... his bike has another 5 years more before it expires... and he did mentioned at least "$1500" including road tax...(plus insurance that is) .. as my age is in early 20s...

This might sound wierd... but I don't really trust my divorced father after what he told me.. I wanna check up with you guys who are much more reliable...

Is he right about all this things..?

i think which bike to get boils down to what you like. whether money is more important (pulsar) or speed and feel is more important (spec4) :)

smaller bikes take less fuel to run but cannot run as fast. give and take ah.

hmm.. bandit huh, 5 yrs? sounds tempting to me. do u wish 2 keep it 4 5 yrs?

if i were u, id get that bandit cos i got a LOT of places that i havent ventured outside singapore heh heh. anywayz, think this through. yes u can manage cb400 inside a circuit, anyone can. but on the road, ITS A WHOLE NEW BALL GAME BRO, especialy in jb. if u feel its an oportunity and if u can afford it, then get that bandit. otherwise, dun waste ur time on it. its rare to hear folks keeping their class 2b license just to get a classa 2a bike though.

budget? hmm abang.. i wasn't expecting myself to come out any cent... because that guy promised me to give me... so i assume he will settle everything for me.. but now he is saying that the I have to take the first party insurance (only) and not others.. in order to have the bike..

but as i check with my experienced friend.. he claims otherwise.. another words... its possible to take a third party insurance...

the bottom line is that.. i thought he was going to settle everything for me..

and i dont set any budget... even so... the most i can go is settle the season parking myself..

i know.. its ridiculous...

But y is it a must to get 1st party only? it's not even a bike shop.. TPFT will do le..

even u take 1st party.. self skid, caim own insurance.. ur next insurance will be sky high.. so y pay more for 1st party and pat even more for ur next insurance???

jus my 2 cents of though
