hey anyone knows whats the price of a brand new pulsar and a second hand one?

LTA has contracted six traffic wardens from a private company at $34,000 a year to take down the licence plate number, make and colour of vehicles that intrude into bus lanes at peak hours.(They are incognito with camera in hands......so don't expect to see a TP, etc)

 

Note you can get fined $130 for dropping someone off at or near the bus stop.

 

LTA has intensified their operations at the following:

 

1) Eunos Link

2) Hougang Ave 3

3) Jurong Town Hall Rd

4) Lorong Chuan

5) Orchard Rd

6) Upper Serangoon Rd

7) Upper Thomson Rd

8) Yishun Ave 2

 

Additional spots where speed traps were seen:

 

1) PIE towards airport near Toa Payoh exit, tripod mounted speed camera at the pedestrian overhead bridge. 90km/h

 

2) PIE towards Jurong near Adam road exit, tripod mounted speed camera over at Adam Road flyover. 90km/h

 

3) Braddell Road after Bishan Junction towards CTE, tripod mounted speed camera at the pedestrian overhead bridge. 60/kmh

 

4) Queensway towards Bukit Merah, tripod mounted speed camera under tree before Ridout McDonalds. 60km/h

 

5) Spot along Upper Bukit Timah Rd towards Woodlands Rd, tripod mounted speed camera under tree after a curve turn - 60km/h.

yea.. i often see the one at Yishun Ave 2, when i'm heading home from work..

actually they take video, they mount the a digital camera on a tripod and wait for the fish to get trap at the net. hi hi hi

3. this is 2nd day, today i went jb, when came back i can see the rpm on idling are higher now... almost 2k :-S... anyone have this issue? yesterday was only 1k all the way..

Eh,i got this prob too!

When start bike, rpm ard 1.5 but when half-way riding, go to 2++ rpm. So wat i do i reduce it. but then reduced oredy when want to start again, rpm too low (below 1) so engine cannot maintain idling. so increase again. it can get irritating.

 

but difference my bike from this bro's is that mine milage 36k km liao, unlike his brand new. lindavw say i need to go clean carburetor, i did that liao, ask mechanic to tune oso, but still got the problem. any1 noe y?

shouldn't it be this way?

 

in the morning when i start my bike, rpm was around 1k..... then after letting it run for a while, the idling speed will increase to 1.5k. after cooling down the bike for few hours, the rpm goes back to 1k. then 1.5k after awhile.

i had that problem before. was becuase the internal shifter got worn out.

 

costed me 25 dollars for that part. this does not include price of service and gasket.

 

i juz change the spring today. 1 spring cost $3.5

 

but worksmanship is $25

 

gasket $9

 

engine oil $10

 

end up become $40+++

the only offer I had was previously... a fren.. who is selling his UG-1 .. for $500 cash.. with $95 x 42 months...

Wanna know why? Cos the price varies from seller to seller and from buyer to buyer as it depends on so many factors.

 

U wanna buy bike, so gotta put in some effort lah to find the best buy for urself. If buying from shop, best is to go down and ask them. If buying from pte seller, check out the Used Bike Sale Section.

 

As a rough guide:

2nd-hand UG2 (FBA plate) - abt $2.5K-$3K

2nd-hand UG3 (FBB plate) - no idea, maybe around $3.5K?

New UG3 - abt $4.8K

New P200 - abt $5.6K

 

How accurate? God knows!

my budget is really damn low.. like about $800 +++ and I know its pathetic to get a pulsar in that kind of budget.. I don't just restrict on UG-2.. in fact.. all of the versions for pulsar I'm aiming for.. with the lowest price.. that i can afford.. but earlier on I ask you guys opinion which i stated before... about having the UG-1... but you guys said that.. its not a very good one especially the version 1 .. the very first batch of pulsar ... with all the comments about the fork etc...

 

after you guys( those seniors pulsars here) mentioned about the bad of UG-1

I immediately stop contacting my friend... didnt pickup his call .. etc...

 

I thought that could be my chance... but yearh.. $95x42 months.. its expensive in long term... can cover any 2nd hand UG-2 bike ...

 

anyway...

 

 

... I don't want to depend alot of my mother.. cos.. she's paying alot of things already...

 

especially my bloody laptop.. which is also in 2 years installment...

 

besides I'm still a bloody student... (SP)

 

always envy those riders riding to school...

 

i want that riding experience.. so that in the future.. i can get lower prices for bikes and insurance... haiz...

Mastera7x...Ders nothing wrong with UG1 mind U...Ur fren kinda offer u a very high price which is not appropriate for the bike....If its way cheaper go ahead get the bike but its not its too expensive...even if ur fren give it to u free and coi the rest...

UG1 dun hav fork problem its the first batch of 200s tt have the problem and tts last yr

n insurance it depends on ur age and bike type ryt? got nothing to do with experience,unless still on probation.. kan kan?

they still a column for them to put your test date.... from ntcu form i glance thru, they have point system.. like bike made, model, CC, year of registeration, your riding experience, your age... all this will somehow add up to calculate your insurance. plus u also will get NCD.. so good to build your NCD lah.

 

long time i ride a Bajaj Cheetak (vespa look a like), the model and brand they tick under 'others' column cos ntuc don't recognise the model back than.. so its cheaper.. my distance uncle work as ntuc agent at bedok.
