sadly no :(

Then why not joining me and others (happens they come) this evening non official meet up session ...

btw ... al amein and al azhar at times seems over crowded and parking also quite a problem ... that place used to be my port for teh tarik with my family but lost interest somehow after exploring some other places to enjoy my teh tarik ... :cheeky:

UNOFFICIAL TEA TARIK & PRATA (west zone) Meet up session .... anyone??

Date: Saturday 30th January 2010

Time: 9.30pm onwards till 11.30pm

Place: Ayzah's Restuarant 24hrs (variety of good foods and cold drinks but your own expenses lol)

Jurong West St 41 X Jurong West Ave 1

Objective: Friendship Bonding & Sharing with Pulsarians while having a nice cup of Teh Tarik once a while at west area ....

Anyone ?? ....

I'm ok if no one can meet up as for me I just need a cup of fresh teh tarik after a hard days work ...

1) me ... myself .. surely be there

2) my shadow .. till 10.30pm if lone ranger

3) my bike ... depends on me .. myself ... hehe

4) Viewpanel (attending if no family event crop up..)

5) Viewpanel's shadow (If I happen to no show..)

6) Viewpanel's GTS 200 (No more pulsar already..)

7)

8)

To those going to Malaysia, you can drop by too before going off ... oopps I know maybe a bit off track but ok rite for Pulsarians brotherhood.

How to go there for non west zone riders:

PIE towards Tuas and exit Jurong East/West Ave 1 .. turn right to JW Ave 1 at 1st junction you can see the makan place and turn left to park your bike along the pavement or go behind at the carpark. Any way I always parked at the pavement so if you are dropping by, surely you'll see my bike there ... eer I mean for this aoccasion lah. See you guys ... :)

Hi newbie here,

Just got my 2b recently now planning to shop for a bike. I have narrow down my choice of bike to pulsar200 or yamaha fz150i. I heard from my uncle that pulsar has good fuel efficiency. He owns a pulsar 200. i like the digital meter and the overall design look very fierce.

But most of my biker friends recommended me to get other bike instead as they said this bike very problematic, no spare parts, can not go beyond 100kph etc. So i like to hear from riders here, what's your view and what's the usual problems faced/encountered? Is it expensive to maintain this bike?

How much does a 2nd hand pulsar 200 cost roughly? Any recommended bikeshop? thanks

Hi HVC, i did some reading from previous posts seems like bajaj had been in s'pore for a while i thought its a new brand cause seldom hear this brand in the market.

I am not into sports bike, i find the posture to tiring. Cubs are not my cup of tea neither, though most of my friend rode cubs but i find those bikes too short and small i am 1.84m in height. To me, i just want a cheap and easily maintain bike that can catch up with my biker friends.

I am planning to upgrade my license further, so i guess i should get a used pulsar. how much you bought your bike for?

bike problematic?..... its how u maintain e bike if dun take care all bike can b problematic

no spare parts?...... where got sure thing in tis world as long as got $$$, anything is possible

can nt go beyond 100km/h?.... we close two eyes anything can go above tat speed, stock setup can reach 120km n if wif modifications can go even higher

to match ur frens speed?.... should nt b a problem if they r riding 2b bikes, most 4stroke 2b bike max speed abt 120-140km/h, but must giv discount on speed accuracy (minus abt 20km/h)

tell ur frens nt to any how say if they dun own e bike if eveything wan to compare.... we compare tank size, mileage, speed accuracy, pickup lah.... :box:

lastly,go for 2nd hand pulsar if u wanna upgrade, do a search in used bike section...

i cannot find the parts i had in mind...

mine oso nt working liao.... tube crack leaking, u got fish tube to spare? wanna diy together again? :cheeky:

Then why not joining me and others (happens they come) this evening non official meet up session ...

bro i oso wanna join leh :thirsty::popcorn:, but e plc u set veri far leh centre a bit can? den mayb east grp will join oso mah.... right chief?

Current P200 setup: Sinnob Sproc[15, 39], NGK platinum plug with spark booster, V3 racing coil, cheetah CDI[dual mode], broquet B2, DIY oiler, hazard light, DIY gnding, PE28[pj-38, mj-120], open pod filter

Hey .. Bro cookie_monster,

haha ...it's stated "non official", "west zone" and "once a while" mah ... priority to westy but open to all zone... just trying to check you guys commitment wif all pulsarians ... hey if we western can go north and east for meet up ... think why you east and north cannot ley ...

I previously post also .. where can we have a good nice meet ups wif teh tarik and prata .. and you also reply at Serangoon north .. west rider too far also wat ...... btw I knew that place too cos last time I and my summons gang always relax there before we go rounds for summons illegal parking around the area.:cheeky:

so how ... once awhile OK rite to join the west pulsarians

Actually these few days my body not feeling well lah ... muscle aching .. maybe aging really a factor .. so I need to relax wif teh tarik after my tiring work ... lol

Any bro wan HKL $20 rebate voucher? Today when I retrieve my bike in Tiong Baru Plaza, a hkl leaflet was on my bike stating it can be used to offset $20 when changing tires or accessories in conjunction of bike servicing. Also got free t shirt or helmet bag.

I had changed my EO, spark plugs and other stuff last sat, thus really no use for this voucher. Any bro interested?

anyway i kinda resolved my problem. my uncle helped me out with this one. we found out that the contacts with the headlight kind of rusted so sprayed a tiny bit of wd40 on it. so its working again now. but dont know whether its really cos of the contacts. anyway lanzer, i think the control switch is good.

the fuel gauge is not accurate when tank is half-full. but its more accurate to predict when the tank is empty.

for mine, the gauge will remain full for about 380km. then will drop pretty fast to half, stay there for some and drop fast again to 3 bars.

haha bro ... you watch Transformers ...it's more than meets the eye ... lol

welcome to our Pulsarian superior mileage ...

as I said before .. you can hit 600+ before it hit reserve. Some of our pulsarian managed to hit 700+ also ...

our bike tank is broader at the top .. no worries about the indicator ... it's near to accurate (as I don't dare to say 100% accurate) .. 300+ before the indicator level down to 1 bar is normal ...

eventually the bar will drop faster as the fuel down to the narrower part of the tank ... so take note of your mileage when ever you top up full tank .

btw bro ... the last meet up on Sat at Jurong West, we have 6 Pulsarians and 1 ex pulsarian wif his wife too gathered and stayed till around 2am ....

too bad you and others new comers can't make it ... a simple and enjoyable sharing evening :thumb:

On your proposal ... you have to stick like a glue if you want some of the members to turn up just in case ...

as for me during the last sat meet ups, I have to wait almost 1 hour from 9.30pm before eventually most turn ups ... 2 of our pulsarians joined us after midnite .....

guys, am looking to change my rear tyre on my p200 :)

any recommendations and estimated pricing? so i dun kena chop when i go ask at the shop ^_^

So far, seems like only bridgestone and dunlop carries the right size for our rear tyre, BT39 and TT900GP respectively. Both are above $130.

Any cheaper options? i dun need excellent grip, just better than the stock will do ^_^

brother..why never change both tyres? im planning to change to dunlop TT900 for both F&R when i go for my 1st EO change..battlax is a excellent grip no doubt but not long lasting..last time my 125z BT39 lasted for 6-8 months..but the front tyre last for 3 years before givin way..hehe..:cheeky:..

i think each bike different ba

my 1st bar dop varies

sometimes after 50-80km

sometimes after 100+

but the rest of the fuel bar drop quite gradual

not like what some of you experience sudden drop alot to half tank

only recently my fuel indicator like abit eccentric

still monitoring

migth ask the mech to check during my next servicing
