Agree.. volt meter only tells u the voltage..

But actually to start the engine Current is the Important thing.

 

i rember reading somewhere. battery will state the CCS[Cold Crank Start] which tell the current.

options best to change to new battery every 1.5 to 2 yrs ..

 

a little damage but no hassle to push start (heard avoid doing so), towing (costly too) and time wasting ...

Hi guys i got a question bout license. Ok imagine i have a car license for 8 months and the maximum demerit points is 13 right. And i accumulated 12 points on the 8th month. Den when i reach 1 year i will have 23 points for 24 months right. Or do i have to have a clean record for a year than can have 23 points. Another question is imagine i get a bike license now. Den if i have 12 points on my car license wouldnt it mean i already accumulated 12 points for my bike den i only left 1 more point before my bike license would get revoked.. Thanks guys.. juz wondering. like bo hua

month 1 - get license

month 8 - get 12 demerit points.

month 12 - get full 24 points minus away the 12 points (so you only left with 12)

month 20 - which is 1 year from the date you got the demerit point, you will get back 24 points provided you never get any more points within that 1 year period.

 

 

and yes, it damn bo hua. even if you get 2a, you will get back 13 points again. 1 year later go for class 2, another 13 points for a year.

all pts across all licenses are consolidated. so, yes, you will have no points to spend if you just pass your bike TP. or after your CL3 gets 24pts.

 

e.g.

 

mth 8 : commit offense, 12-12 = 0pts

mth 12 : 24pts - 12 = 12pts

mth 13 : pass class 2B, only have 12pts to spend, so, there goes your 12pts, 0pts.

mth 20 : 12pts, from getting back 24pts, minus your 12pts for CL2B probation. (assuming no violations within 1yr from last offence)

mth 25 : 24pts.

 

it's not about how many points you can spend, it's how many points you're allowed to accumulate.

 

as long as you're on probation or within 1yr ot CL2/2A, you can accumulate max of 12pts across all licenses.

i just changed my spark plug ytd.

 

noticed a drop in idling RPM when compare old and new spark plug.

but something is wrong, my idling rpm leads to many stall when warming up my bike in the morning.

 

how do adjust the idle rpm ar? i cannot startt my engine without doing a some reving.

Went to UM the other day for 2 small problems:

1) Head bearing cone very loose

2) Idle timing seems like not stable

Upon approaching there and I was quite late, the technician told me they’re closing and cannot service my bike. I never even got a chance to tell them what’s the problem and immediately got rejected. Then I persist and told him it’s a small problem, just tightening a screw, then he went in and take the tools. After that I continued asking him for my 2nd problem, he didn’t even see and told me need to check, so I need to come another day. After a while, I saw the technician who service my bike the other day, asked him about the 2nd problem, he did some checking and told me it’s choke cable problem.

Now I’m very skeptic about the cable problem, so after I rode off from there, I stipped out the whole cable as I didn’t know where it was connected to. Leaving it dangling, I started my bike, timing was fine, then upon further inspection, found that cable link direct to the carburetor. I fix everything back, problem solved. Then it occurred to me that day I ask them to clean carburetor. Since the choke was linked to the carburetor, there’s a metal piece that goes inside, if not put properly, will slightly pull the cable. That’s what I suspect that they never insert the metal piece properly.

Further recollection of the service at that day, I recalled after the technician fix up my bike, he checked on something and asked around, then tell me my throttling cable faulty, firstly, no free play, and upon throttling, the cable seems jam. But after they changed the cable, I don’t feel there’s any diff from before, but just to entertain him, I told him it’s better. Linking this to the choke incident, the throttle cable change is useless. Due to the slight pull in choke, the cooldown timing of rpm is bound to be sluggish. Thus it all started with the servicing I had. Did I mention that the cone loose was also caused at the service? He told me the cone spoilt, which I agree, but he had no time to change, so loosing it as a temporary solution. However riding at slow speed was no problem, the problem occurs when travelling at hi-speed, then the handle bar starts to wobble, cornering was also very slippery. I had to hold the bike up. I didn’t immediate went back after the servicing cos I changed a lot of things, and wasn’t really get used to it.

Now I’m not blaming anyone for the fault, just that their level of service should be improved. After all they only service pulsar, not like other shop that service a variety of bikes. It should already be their specialty, and knowing things like the back of their hands.

the dial is somewhere between where u're sitting and the tank, on the left side. it's quite obvious, as it's the only thing sticking out.

 

i've not experience new spark causing low rpm, but usually mine in the mornig will have quite low, thus i usually use choke.
