Hi guys,

I'm very new to riding. Would be getting a 2nd hand pulsar 180 within these 2-3 days. I'm really a newbie, not even a noob in riding and bike parts. All i know is that I love riding and glad I just passed TP last week.

Have some questions to ask,

1) Is it awkward to wear a full face with a pulsar?

2) Is UM the cheapest place to go for servicing?

3) Is it possible to change the head fairing or whatever it is called/ how much?

4) Is it possible to change the analogue meter to digital? /How much?

5) Where's the cheapest place to spray the body and rims?

Sorry for the questions. Thanks in advance.

1. no, looks good.

2. not the cheapest, but the best cos they have all the original parts.

3. if u are refering to the headlight area, transparent plastic + the colored part, prolly 160 bah.

4. dun bother, very ex. i heard that it is 3XX

5. no idea

not much except for the extra padding, the visor and the inner visor...

since most users feed back on the air flow and noise and also sun shield not low enough .. the rest are basically the same

in buisness, to attract customers they won't entertain in details...objectives in buisness to have customers visits at their shop and see and try items personally. Those promotions items are basically limited one, once it out of stock, customers will look see look see other items since they are in the shop.. occasionally customers will buy other items not necessarily the promotion items only ... that's sales strategy... attract customers first to visits the shop and hope customers will buy any items there. :cheeky:

btw the helmet promotion last till end of march... you need to hurry down either at ubi or lavender if you need the helmet and XL i think still available but color no choice lah ... as I said it's limited items.

XL ... woooh :cheeky: hehehe ..

.. me measure around my forehead is 56cm either S or M size and my current Flip up is S size.

first of all.. one will never look bad wen wearing full faced.. everyone always tink full face very fierce or scared kena laughed at.. but FF is the best you can get for safety on ur head.. a good and bad FF differs of cuz.. u gotta research urself liaoz..

servicing can do anywhere u can.. urself.. or any shop.. tightening of chains and EO change.. other den tt.. mechanical parts and mechanical problems better to fix at UM.. cheap or not.. depend on urself already.. :p

fairing only customized for now.. rarely ppl do.. ha.. bt u can be the first! :thumb:

dunoe can change analogue to digital anot.. but dun tink so..

and sprayin.. anywhere also can find.. look ard in PMO.. or wad.. money.. i dunoe liaoz.. i was quoted $200++ for 2 colours last time.. din spray thou.. cuz bo lui.. :dozed:

Hi, new here. Comparing bajaj pulsar and hyosung comet, which parts are more expensive?

not sure. however, u can find hyosung comet parts in jb along danga bay. they specialised on comets or NAZA BLADES ( Alternate name of hyosung in malaysia). Their sole distributor is in KL, unlike bajaj which ONLY HAS 1 place to get their parts in sg, NAZA or comets in malaysia has opened up variety of shops dat sells their parts even though its limited. i wana get one comet 250 myself by d end of the year if God wills.

Hello everyone,

Yet another surface interval for me - I hope everyone is doing well and is still a happy pulsarian ! :)

I came back to SG last week, and the first thing I did was to... get my Pulsar !

FINALLY !!!!!! :clap::clap::clap::clap:

I am now a proud owner of a black Pulsar 200, called "Shadow" (hey, every biker is entitled to some nerdiness with their bike, I am no exception!).

Shadow is now 5 days old, and has already got her first tweaking: blind spot mirrors !

I got it at UM, with an Axa third party insurance, an HJC FG-15 full-face helmet, a Taichi Mesh Jacket and Taichi pair of gloves with knuckles protection.

All this gear is waiting for me patiently by the bike, stored in a Pacsafe Stuffsafe bag.

I will take pictures and post them here to share with you this happy event.

The bike is smoother than I expected, the engine is just a bliss, runs very smoothly, I don't have any trouble at all with the gear shifting - I know some have reported troubles getting stuck on neutral when shifting from 1st to 2nd - but for me it shifts just perfectly, as if it reads my mind :D

Oh and I changed the tires too - and I'm glad I did, with what's pouring outside these days.

I am doing the engine run by following the manual instructions to the letter, so I'm enjoying riding at slow speeds which fit me perfectly as I'm afraid of speed. The bike is extra stable, very easy to ride, very comfortable, definitely the perfect choice for a new rider. It can get a bit heavy when the tank is full, but I find that it helps me balance and control it.

Today a Ducati 848 parked next to me at work, well, my Pulsar had nothing to be ashamed of and did me very proud ! :p

I'm going to the HOV session on Sat the 10th - anyone else from our group is going ?
