Bro, if you still find that the bike is a bit tall, you can actually get the seat cushion cut at eugene saddlery.

I spent about $40 to cut and rewrap a better seat cover material for my bike so that it is easier for my wife to handle.

that's actually....a sis.

i guess so... i bought second hand. so not too sure about that.

register and then do what?

if you interested to join, put your nick down and PM me your personal particulars. i will register on behalf of you and inform you what to do next. i will be doing the registration on this coming friday.

so to the rest, last five days....

'He' is a she actually. So where's this Eugene Saddlery? How's the workmanship?

Stock P180 rear sprocket has 44 teeth. Dunno for P200.

Any rear sprocket with fewer teeth will achieve wat u want. Question is by how much which is up to u. The fewer the teeth, the greater the difference. So up to u how much reduction in RPM u wanna get at same speed / increase in cruising speed at same RPM, with pick-up speed going the other way around. Think the lowest u can get is 38 teeth. Most guys here who changed their rear sprockets got the 40-teeth.

For my UG3 P180 front is 15 ,rear 43 teeth and I change to 39. You can always check on the sprockets, nos. are stamped on them 43,44 or others. Around $25 at UM. :cheeky:

It should be 90/80 for front and 110/80 for rear. I changed it at UM. May need to double check again. :cheeky:

Eugene is diagonally opposite New World Centre. At Syed Alwi/Jln Bersah junction. Further up before regina.

Workmanship is good. Boss is very helpful. After wrapping if the seat cover wrinkles (due to expansion of the material) you can bring back to him to sort it out for free. At the edge (at the 2 corners) of the front of the seat he even put some padding to cover up the pointed edges.

If you have a design that you wanted on your seat you can go to him to get it customized for you also.

The round thing is called cam cap...Its a common leakege problem...Its difficult for oil to seep into the spark plug chamber if tt happens then water can seep thru too

Cam cap cost SGD5 but labor is another thing cos hav to top overhaul...alternativ solution is to paste epoxy...

One of the forumer here has tt epoxy :D

Hi all!

suggestions please, bike approaching 40k km, what preventive/maintainance shld be done eh? must change what, check what etc?

I changed sprockets and chain at 24k km at UM. Costs S$70 sia! roadrunner say at JB whole set cost RM80 i damn sad, but neer mind lah, tt was so long ago. i also changed rear brake shoe at the same time. (S$20!!)

I know must go for servicing, the package at UM $6 does mainly the exteriors, anyone knows of any internal servicing packages that they do? as in open engine, check clutch plate lah, and all that.

So yah,wat else you suggest to change?

I know such questions better answered during meetups, but have not had one time where I am free for any of them. Sigh..

Hope you all can shed some light on this.. thanks!

40k no need any major servicing la.

just do your normal 10k servicing.

clean/replace air filters, replace spark plugs etc

normal stuff.

i am at 36k and i am still on my stock sprockets and chain. and a little under half way to go.

lube your chain regularly!

yup, have been doing those regularly..

but back then still noob, donno aniting bout lubricating chain, use until worn out. but now, "clever" oredy, been good so far.

speaking of spark plugs, since our pulsar use 2 pieces, we can use it longer right? i change it twice only if not mistaken. coz other bikes they recommend change at every 2 oil change (approx 4k), some even do at every oil change (approx 2k). Not necessary ryt? Or have I been running with either one "dead"??

Posted

by right plugs only last 2 oil change on the manual.

by left it actually can last way longer than that.

if u think changing plugs at every other interval of oil change is troublesome, then get better plugs like platinium or iridium. these plugs can last way beyond 20k km.

but its still up to individual. some pple prefer fresh plug every other time bcos they ada wang. hahahahaha

for me i think pulsar is juz a transport bike and lacers like mothership can clock 120+km on normal plugs, then stick to normal $5 plugs will do. a little change in the plug tip will not have major effects as in ur bike will fly or go faster than EVO la. hahahahaha

so in the end wat's best for ur pocket should suit ur style best.

hmmm so by when ur bike will have ran in finished?

im interested to see what's the top speed for P200.

how much is ur FC now? able to hit 600km on a full tank or less is already considered as acceptable.
