anyone has lobang for van rental in the west side?

wat u wan van rental for? :dot::dot:

16 bicycles use small lorry better. I've done that before. Van confirm cannot squeeze in la.. somemore at the end of the event shag already still have to arrange and squeeze the bikes back in.. easier for lorry as u can just heap on and tie cables to secure them.

so anyone has any lobang for van/10 ft lorry rental in the west area?

west cos easy for me to collect and return

I'm still using stock tyres. Skidded rear tyre but didnt fall @ Mjbs's mscp becos raining n tyres wet plus we all know mscp floor are slippery than an ice skating ring. Our stock tyres IMHO is honestly good enough for you to play corner very much much lower than the height of US World Trade Centre when it laid on the ground coz of d 2001 plane crashed. But our mainstand is an obstacle.Try to corner lower like rapper Florida's "Get Low" song and u know what i mean when ur mainstand get in the way and provide a shock to you..hehehe.

On a normal/hot day, the stock tyres is your bestfriend fullstop

On a sidenote, im looking for 'Dunlop TT900 GP'..still researching on it but looks like not many people use it. Most people use the 'Dunlop TT900 Thailand' because its cheap n long lasting. Our SBT mostly uses Battlax because of the excellent grip during wet conditions..right people? but the cons is it gets botak n botak like my head as months go by. But then again IRC Roadwinner RX-01 caught my eye because of the tyre thread and feedback n reviews shows it do a good n decent job on wet conditions and its cheaper so yea still considering and looking and looking...hehehe.

Tyres play a part but again its all up to the riders control of their bike.

Example (no pun intended though): Even if you use Battlax Tyres but your riding/braking method or skills are no good then your chances and percentage of meeting into an accident/crash will not decrease. So in my opinion..a good rider and a decent pair of tyres should be able to ensure safety of bike n rider is there 80% - 90% of the time. 10% is thee accident that u cannot smell or sense cause anything can happen.

Cause..

The ball is round.

The Tyres are round.

The earth is round.

The b_ _ _ bs are round..lol..hahaha..ok lame.

Just my 2 centz..peace :)..sorry if its crap...:sleepy:

hi guys..recently i skidded during braking on rainy days on pulsar stock tyre..anyone knows how bad is the stock tyre??

haha Welcome Bro to SBT.

I believed you have read the pros and cons by now ... so this is what I can share to you ...

Stock tyres: The Option

Ask your self how capable you are to control this bike especially on braking and controlling. Different rider different style.

Practice braking on dry road and observe the distance effectiveness.

Follow the guidelines on safe distance and speed at all times ... slow when slow, fast when fast.

Change the stock rubber hose to steel braided hose.

Change the stock brake pad to a better brake pad.

Top up or change brake oil ... long used oil in the master cylinder will get blocked.

Adjust your rear brake effectiveness and clean as often as you can. At times you need to sand the brake shoes too for it's effectiveness.

Change new brake shoes when time to change.

Check your tyre pressure and pump in according the guides given.

Check your tyre thread tear and wear and the condition, clean or remove the surface from any objects stuck in between the threads.

Change tyres when needs too and don't wait till the tyre botak to change.

hope this guidelines helps just my 1 cent worth hehe... :goodluck:

Think of your LOVE ones at home ... it's YOU and your BIKE .. BE A SAFE RIDER

Part 2: InstallationDay at UM

Refresh ... remember Gaban posted on Sinnob .. scary right? Same with me lah... so that's why I personally directed all my doubts and ask lots of questions to Sinnob to have my doubts cleared.

Sinnob assured me that the new 2010 model have been revised and it's just Plug&Play or PnP (hehe not porting and polished ha)

To convince me to try the Sinnob, reasons they gave me the special FOC shipping cost.

Ok ... now the day of installation. (I'll be transparent as I can to share here)

At UM: After seeking permission to Jason and agreed ... and installation begins

1: Installing the Rear gear was no issues PnP (pic on last post)

2: Installing the Front gear no issues PnP (see pic)

3. Retainer screw holes not align to front gear holes. Retainer teeth also a bit long to rotate to align. (Problem 1 - see pic)

4. Option to file or grind abt 1.5mm on the retainer teeth.

(sad to say at UM no flat file so have to use round file to file the retainer teeth down abt 1.5mm and took them 5 - 10 mins to finish filing) (see pic)

5: Retainer fitted and screwed firmedly on the front gear (see pic)

6: Chain DID 520 silver plated intalled and find a bit too long for my bike. Need to cut 1 psc away. (see pic)

7. Sinnob nicely well fit after the second obsticle done. (see pic)

8. Tested the rotation .. seems fine but end to its stop, a knockins sound heard .. carefully checked on the rotation of the front gear, rear gear and chain and found the problem. Sound came from the joint clip of the chain when it arrive at the rear flanges. (see pic for ref only as I forget to take the foto on the joint clip .. nx time ok)

9. Lucky the flanges are made of polyurethane (rubber thingy) so it can be expanded and will not surface any problems ahead.

10. After a while of test ride, now the sound totally dissapeared.

hmmm .. since the attached pic can post max 6 only .. here I proudly to represents my Sinnob on my SplitFire and the verdict on the next post .... :slapforehead: hehehe

P180 can use the 200 sproc size?

i think there's a sprocket for p180 if i'm not wrong..rite mj?

cos if p180 can plug and play with the p200 sprocs

then no need to wait for another 2 weeks for the special order mah

As mentioned ..

P200 using 15:39T with 520 chain without O ring

P180 using 14:43T with 428 chain without O ring

Not sure it fits or not but I doubt so since the screw holes on P200 and 180 are slightly different in terms of the length. And since the width of the flanges need clearance to avoid friction on the inner wall by the chain.

Regards to the special order, P180 most used in Indon since P200 is consider new ... so the needs of playing with the teeth sprockets on P180 have more demand. That's the reason Sinnob inform me why P180 have the chice to choose the sets of teeth required. P200 coming too but will take quite a while since the demands are not that great as P180.

The results of the Sinnob on my SplitFire, I will post soon after finalising the difference from stock no doubt the significance really shows right after Sinnob was installed as most UM mechs there want to see the difference. :cheeky:

Will update soon ... don't know why too HVC keeps silence till now :cry::cry:

Btw .. my Sinnob chain needs to cut 1 pc away but for HVC is PnP .... why? ... hmmm coz same model does not mean same specs and performance!! simply just like a twins ... hehehe :cheeky:

hi guys..recently i skidded during braking on rainy days on pulsar stock tyre..anyone knows how bad is the stock tyre??

normally pulsar owners will change their tires straight after getting their bikes

cos the stock tires tend to be slippery during rainy days

most of us are on battalex which has better grip on wet surfaces but it will wear out faster and a bit ex

you can try IRC tires which are cheaper, better than stock and not too bad grip

but i not sure the IRC tires at UM are what model

Today went to UM again to have my front brake lever check ....

Mech Ah Teck check my bike and dismantle the master cylinder and found out that the kit pump spring has rusted and the rubber has wear too.

It's the reason behind why my rear brake is ON even though I did not press or step on the brake lever, thus making my alarm alert activated occasionally after I switch off the engine.

Change the whole set of the kit pump, clean and top up the brake oil .. adjust the tension plus checking what ever needed .. all back to GOOD...SATISFIED! :thumb:

However damaged was $46 .... but it does not harm that much ... SAFETY most IMPORTANT!!!!

Kudos to mech Ah Teck again... a reliable mech.:thumb:

Before.. one of the reasons why my SplitFire has some wobbling at slow speed...

a wear and tear of the rear of the rubber coupling in the rear brake drum...

damaged for this item .. $10.50

How to notice? .. try giving a shake or push and pull on your rear sprocket andtake note whether it loose or not ... loose means 2 things .. either the rear wheel bearing or the rubber compound or both ... both damage price is $10.50 each.

Do give a check hehehehheh

oh .. btw ... do check picture 4 ... see my new throttle grip? .. hahahah

hahah yes indeed P220 is more superior ... reasons why I'm pushing UM to get P220 spare parts in to boost our P200.

Like you mentioned in India P220 was cannbilising the P200 there, here for one to have a 2A licence ... P220 will be cannibilising by the superior 350cc and above :argue: hehehe

:nono: It's not worth in Singapore to have a Class 2A riding bike below 250cc :help:

btw ... we are expecting you during our meet up .. do join us lah heheheh

can pm me your mobile for reference .... :nobuaya: :D

Yeah! Completely agree with you! My favorite 2A bikes are Super 4 and Yamaha Dragstar  But I first need to convert my foreign driving licence to 2B next month and then one more year to go. But Pulsar I got so cheap Lah! I think I will take good care of it and keep it for atleast 2 years. How long have you been riding? Any plans to upgrade in future?

think maybe p180s and p200s sprocs are different

cos the price so much difference

i rmb asking jason when i wanted to change my sprocs what is the size the p200s are using and ask to change to that

not sure on this might be cos the holes/bolts/screws different sizes and length

u really change alot of things

haha

nice colour for your throttle grip:thumb:

hahah went to Moto World for chit chat with my relative who's working there after my school at Ponggol the other day..

talking about Rizoma stuffs and he said if I'm interested to have one like Rizoma with a lower budget ... so curious I said ok which one and he pointed to this model ... Ariete Products.

First look only .. I said Ok can fit Pulsar? and he said Universal stated there .. hahaha

2 colors available for this model .. Black and Gold ... hmm actually I'm looking for Blue hahaha :cheeky:

Verdict:

Ok .. Left side Throttle... just PnP .. (hehehe now seems words PnP always in my mind hohohoh.. poison from Prides)

Right side ..

1. hmm need to file or grind to flat the lining on the surface and you really need the air blow gun to slide through

2. need extra washers preferable spring washers 4 - 5 pcs to have the end weight fully grip and tight. But not sure if one use stock end weight though.

Overall ....

Looks like Rizoma even UM mech thought it was Rizoma heheh :thumb:

Feel the rubber grip .. soft and comfortable :thumb:

Price ... if you opt for Harris Grip which is around $36 a pair ..

this Ariete Grips actual price $65

offered at Moto World $50 only.

And if you want to DIY is $55 heheh .. ... :faint:

looking at the trouble to fix on the right side better let them do lah .. some more cheaper than DIY .. funny though

Actually looking for helmet but ended buying the throttle grips instead hehehe :cheeky:

oh btw .. while waiting for the Tarnsformers Autobot logo from Aurthur .. bought this for at Vivo Toys R Us hehehe . actually for handphone lah hahaha

Tranformers never die ....
