keep stock better to reach better fuel consumption :)

not true!!!!!! i reached a better fc with the smaller rear sprockets!!

if u are able to reach 80km/hr (which i travel at) with rpm around 5.5k as compared with stock sprockets at 7K rpm, which one save fuel over long time?? haha. even my dad say change liao will safe fuel.. haha. cos lower rpm less oil input while cruising. jus dun have excessive acceleration and ur fc will be great! :cheeky:

HVC: IRC roadwinner im using now. ok lah. this morning the rain my IRC roadwinner is able to stick to the ground while on PIE and nicholl highway. haha. less skidding already after changing it out of MRF.

Intersting observation about drivers/ road users:

every morning i will turn into nicholl from PIE sims ave exit. and the traffic is supposed to be smooth everyday can easily do 70 on nicholl. but today turn into the road just before the ERP, traffic super heavy i thought what happen sial. actually is the opposite road (which is empty) got some police car and 2 cars (maybe accident or what). den so stupid la. everyone slow down to see show. walao. becos i went thru the Gantry late by 2minutes, i had to pay 75c instead of 25c!! LOL :dot:

sorry, jus wanna let it out. :) :cheeky:

im getting my pulsar this thurs. any thing to look out for in the bike? i have tested the bike, performance wise, no problem with it.

any idea if givi box previously used on phantom can be transferred to pulsar?

and is it better to change the sprockets or remain the stocks?

Just inspect the bike carefully. Listen to the engine sound, see if something fishy. Take a test ride see if there is any engine oil leak. Look for handle bar alignment and see if it is straight. Any defect you notice, try negotiating the price because it will cost you to fix it. Better to take a mechanic with you.

Givi box you will be able to fix. Just go to UM or Ah Boy and get the bracket for pulsar. Is you givi box base plate removable? If yes take it with you to make sure it fits the bracket.

BTW, what is the price you are getting the bike for? Which model and mileage?

hhahaha ... bro, I don't mean to not to agree with you but you must see from all sides of factors ...

yes may be I do agree with the cruising along highway but what happens if you are travelling at busy road with lots of traffic lights? ...

Cruising at top gear yes will have your fc low but if you travel at stop and go road, you are not using top gear but will have to change gear often at low speed and braking often too due to stop and go at heavy traffic, jamm and traffic lights etc .. with this kind of riding your fc will definitely affected ..

So to be nuetral... it's back to the rider skills in controlling the bike .... if one have a good riding skills and tactic .. he will surely maintain his fc low ...

just my thoughts only and btw keep up the good riding habit

Price is good. 60-70K mileage is a lot for a 4 years old bike. What do you guys think? May be he toured around malaysia or was using the bike for despatch/delivery. So it is very important that you check the condition of the engine. Has he ever rebored it? Rebored engines are not good I guess. I am not sure. I will let the others comment on it.

Regarding the sound, yeah you need a mechanic to judge it if you are not expert.

this morning encountered a slipping of my back tire. was reaching a red light junction when the yellow light came up, was quite close but decided to brake. and i know there's camera there. road was wet. i was braking quite hard, but i'm still guess what's causing it. aqua-plading or oil?

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?
