Think UM Jacky has a simple solution for that.

Saw him taped a strip of those those thick black strong double-sided adhesive tape between the cover and unit for a UG2 that has screaming vibration from the IU at high rev.

The adhesive side is taped on the unit. The other side that contact the cover was not peeled.

After he did that, no vibration sound was heard at high rev.

Sometimes it might not be the IU cover only. If you have a few keys attached to your bike key, they could be producing the sound when your bike key is in the ignition.

 

Do check all the screws and tighten them if needed. Pulsar has this problem of screws coming loose over time.

Meh. Top speed?

 

UG3 on stock sprockets and stock tires can achieve a top speed of 130kph on a straight, flat road. Condition optimal, meaning nice full synthetic EO and decent plugs.

 

With modifications it can hit higher, probably.

 

I got another bike for the times i want to go faster. so now i just let my bike chill at 70-80 kph on the highway and 50-60kph on roads.

 

Keeps getting black deposits in my expanded EO. Not metal bits, but likely carbon. Not blasting my bike enough i think.

 

GSX400RP, top end speed of 210 according to my speedometer.

Was rather tempted to join you guys for all the kopi outing but since I'm still running in, I think I should stay away for a while until I can keep up with the speed.

 

But the running in part is torturing the hell out of me. Is there a better, faster way? Had been to countless websites, trying to figure out the pros & cons of this bike esp those from India (didn't know there are so many good looking bikes over there) & happen to come across these 2 very very interesting articles. It totally contrast each other.

Hehe anyway if u wanna hard break in..Had to break ur heart cos the hard break in window is actually small and since u have already start with the traditional one...U CANNOT do the hard break in cos there is no point in doing so...SOooooo carryon with the traditional one LPPL...Meet up 2nite at geylang serai n we will try our best to answer ur queries

Come come... come to geylang tonite. nemesis will answer all ur enquires and qns abt Pulsar....

P200 our team havent really look into managing the bike yet... maybe some P200 can allow the team to seriously look into the structure of the bike???

Anyway juz a noob qn on P200, when u turn on the ignition the meter goes 1 rd too... during this 1 round can u crank the engine n start the bike? Cos rumours have been going ard that when the meter light havent go off, the engine cannot be cranked... dunno true anot... some P200 here can advise???

hmmm... our bike manual recommends 20W50 EO.

But my knowledge tells me this grade there is still no Fully-sythetic oil avaliable...

This grade is truly meant for humid countries like spore n msia where the temperature is always above 25 degrees..

 

Rev to red line anot is up to individual one la... if UG3 rev into the red line, a power cut off will be at 10.5 rpm ( this one can take out but need a guniea pig CDI cos i dun wan to fry my CDI hahahahahaha)... into the red line, the rev light indicator will blink liaoz....

noticed anything amiss like the trip resets to 000.0?

Its still unknown y the trip meter will reset... but most probably due to surge in current... that's what i think...

Latest News Regarding Singapore Bike Fest

 

This Saturday (2pm) at West Coast Mac.

 

Please try to be there at least 15 mins before and not be late as this involve outsiders. If this event is organised by ourselves and only pulsar, we can wait for you. but there will be alot of other groups, so don't make every father and mother's son wait for you.

 

Anyway although the website event program cite it start at 10am, we will only be meeting up at 2pm. From 10am to 2pm, there's nothing much at Kallang car park, so no point going so early.

 

Most of the events and activities will only start after 3.30pm, by then we will have reach there already.

 

So to sum it all....Saturday 02082008, 1400 hours at West Coast Mac.
