so while the meter is still going the rd, u can crank start ur bike?

noticed anything amiss like the trip resets to 000.0?

Its still unknown y the trip meter will reset... but most probably due to surge in current... that's what i think...

I didn't realised it has anything to do with the trip meter resetting itself, only experienced it once.....that's all. Haven't got a clue why it reset itself for that one & only time...

Regarding the cranking the engine while the meter is still going 1round, I haven't experience any complications leh....

I experienced 3 out of 5-6 times the reset of the trip meter doing that too .

Now no more problem after installed alarm system. There is a timer chip (from Bro lindavw) in the system that delays plus auto crank start the bike, no more careless of reset the trip meter .

Greetings to all. Have been following this thread for almost 2months before I get myself a P200.

 

Was rather tempted to join you guys for all the kopi outing but since I'm still running in, I think I should stay away for a while until I can keep up with the speed.

 

 

Flying fox, just joint us for any kopi session. It will be fun. Mine also haven't running in but after joining them learn a lot on technical issue. They even solve my top box braking light problem. Don't worry about speed issue...cos bro SuVespa will always be behind you, no matter how slow you go...join us!!

Pulsar does not have any helmet clips under seat or near choke (Like rxk type),

Have any of u guys tried fitting those external helmet lock to ur bike?

If yes, which part would it be best to fit on?

Any other idea on how to clip helmets to bike,other then having a box behind?

Its not too heavy but bcos its was on the slope and the gravity pull makes it heavier on one side and my right leg is not strong enough to overcome the weight. Bro Hippo, when you buy your bike, don't 4get to ask for crash bar...its very useful.

The bike can be crank when the meter is still doing its startup, but a sudden drop in current while cranking might cause the trip meter to reset.

 

It is not advisable to do the cranking while the meter is still doing its round. We do not know for sure what will happen to the meter in the long run.

 

My guess is something is going to spoil along the way.

 

P200 riders take note, there are 2 pipes at the bottom of the EO top up area which leads to the radiator where oil is cooled. Try to avoid accidents that involve that area.

 

I took a look at the construction, and it worries me. If the impact to that area is strong enough, your might end up with a very expensive repair bill.

 

I dunno if it is doable, p200 riders, maybe your can get a mesh with a bit smaller holes and cover over the original one. I find the original mesh's holes a bit too big to protect against bullet stones.

Latest News Regarding Singapore Bike Fest

 

This Saturday (2pm) at West Coast Mac.

 

Please try to be there at least 15 mins before and not be late as this involve outsiders. If this event is organised by ourselves and only pulsar, we can wait for you. but there will be alot of other groups, so don't make every father and mother's son wait for you.

 

Anyway although the website event program cite it start at 10am, we will only be meeting up at 2pm. From 10am to 2pm, there's nothing much at Kallang car park, so no point going so early.

 

Most of the events and activities will only start after 3.30pm, by then we will have reach there already.

 

So to sum it all....Saturday 02082008, 1400 hours at West Coast Mac.
