Anyway my pulsar got a shock from those big bikes la... mirror loose, something wrong with my carburettor then on the way home, my speedometer just died on me.

To those who need to change tyre, we will meetup at UM on tuesday afternoon at 2pm

 

Than on firday, we will go together for pre-rider check cum general svcing on friday after at 1pm. After svc, we will head home to rest and process to the meetup point at 11pm.

anyway i need ur expert opinion on this..i got a quotation from a bike shop near sengkang for a pulsar 180 dtsi (either UG3 or UG3.1). Price quoted OTR is $6140 (paying cash).

 

Breakdown:

- Machine price + COE = $5100

- Insurance = $880 (AXA, 25 yrs old, 2nd party fire theft)

- IU = $160

 

basically that's it..so, is it a gd deal?

bro juz a comment abt UMPL

i went to repair my bike due to the accident.

over there my 1st experience is gd

but after that

i notice that my tire was not properly done / fix

 

it is nt "align" thus causing it to rub on the wall and end up i have to re align the tire. and the mech nv pump full the tire when i go and pump the tire it is showing 150 fnt and 124 rear!

 

and i got a very big qns.

how come the bt39 tire front. do not have any inprint of the max tire pressure? rear have but front dun have....

 

i juz pump 220 frnt and 240 rear.

am i ok for the front?

the rear i know can go up to 280. any advise pls.

about your insurance, sure or not??? I'm also under AXA(21 years old, P-plater, 2nd party fire & theft) but my insurance is $650+7% GST. Breakdown is $500 for age and $150 for P-plate.

 

If at UM, the price is $5200 and $6100 for 180 and 200 respectively.

wah!! so high!! i pump 180 in front and 210 behind. anyone got any recommended pressure for a pulsar 180? cos after today, my max speed is no longer there. and rpm is higher than normal to travel at 100km/h. i'm sure it's because of the tyre pressure.

 

about the pump air, maybe got air leakage? cos for me today, i pump air twice!! in the end, the cause was leakage at the hole. managed to solve the problem already thanks to the uncle at the Shell workshop near AMK ave 5, hougang there. Not sure if the problem will persist tomorrow.

Bought mine at UM almost a month back at $4705 inclusive COE and IU UNIT

AXA insurance TPFT at $647 (27 yrs old) P-plate

definitely feels smoother bro. 5krpm hit 70km, unlike 61km using the stock sprocket.

Woah. I heard that insurance rates are going higher, but i didnt realize it would shoot up that high!

 

I paid $870 for my TPFT policy when i was 21 years old, still on probation.

 

You should get a quotation on how much COE was paid during the last bidding. I believe it was in the area of $1500 now, for a 10 year period.

 

That would bring your actual machine price to $4600?

 

Ugh! Pulsar's machine price went down so much. I feel like a carrot.

 

The price to me seems quite reasonable. Try not to tie yourself to over 2 years installment. Some shops quote some rediculous annual interest.

I try to check.... thru the sticker that come with the battlax, it stated that not more that 56 PSI, I normally pump Front 32 psi, rear 35 psi.

 

regarding the bad service... that might be some mistake. Anyway, UM will take note of wat happen. Any problem, u can go back service center and get it done again.

this morning after work found my bike wobbly at the rear. Use soap bubble to verify air leak.

Encounter the air valve nut not fully tightened.

No wonder my bike no power after servicing.

Ah yes. anyone still remember that i had a lighting problem a while back? where the headlight isnt bright, and it cant be turned off, and the speedometer highbeam indicator is always on when motor started?

 

Problem does not lie with the rectifier. it lies with the control box inside the head fairing. costs $125 dollars.

 

i keep spending money like its water. so depressing.
